That’s going to be an interesting decision for me. Looking at the reference pics, it’s pretty much split down the middle. I’ll probably end up buying both versions since it’s so rare to get a Greg Saunders Vigilante in figure form.
My initial reaction is that it’s nice to see Mattel at least trying to give the customer more at a time when so many others are giving the customer less. Then again, most companies do put their best foot forward out of the gate. I remember being so impressed with the first wave of Black Series...
It’s been McFarlane Mania for me so far in 2026.
Jessica Cruz arrived Tuesday. (Say what you will about eVilBay scalpers, but at least the turnaround time tends to be very impressive.). Dr. Midnite arrives from Amazon today. (Hopefully it will be the standard version). Platinum Zatanna is...
Honestly, there are so many holes to fill in our collections that it’s hard for me to get excited about sub-lines like Secret Wars, X-Men 97, and GamerVerse that by design exclude the characters needed to fill said holes. At this point we’re down to the occasional mini-comic wave and/or BAF...
I wasn’t a big fan of the Crossing storyline, but I did like the costumes, so I’m in for Black Widow and Quicksilver, but I’m going to play the long game on that one. I hope we’re still getting the leaked Vision and Scarlet Witch in those costumes as well.
Okay, that’s the picture I needed to see. The white and red costume details on the butterfly joints will line up properly in a static pose. I couldn’t tell what was going on with the other promo pics. I’m in.
Speaking of travesties…
That’s why I specified “classic” Captain Boomerang. 😉
Is it true that DCUC going with that version of Captain Boomerang was a Geoff Johns “Executive Order”?
Also, I think there may have been a Weather Wizard or a Top in Mattel’s short lived 3.75” line.
I would rank the Flash’s rogues gallery behind only Batman’s and Spider-Man’s. All of these DC lines, and no (comic accurate) Heatwave, no Weather Wizard, no Trickster, no classic Captain Boomerang, no Pied Piper, no Top…it’s a travesty.
I do remember that set now that you mention it. I need to track that down, especially since it’s the animated version of Klarion that I’m most familiar with.
I don’t think it’s as much about completing the Satellite Era JLA as much as it is giving fans a popular version of a character that they have not yet received as a 1/12 (ish) fully articulated figure.
I have come around to the point others have made that collectors like myself that have been...
I wanted to complete the Jim Lee X-Men and sell off my Marvel Legends versions, but between the tariffs, the limited output (new releases), the constant delays, and the inflated prices beyond the impact of the tariffs, I’m rapidly losing interest. I don’t think I’m being facetious when I say...
