General Marvel Legends

Big day for the Pet Avengers team! I cannot believe I may buy a $40 figure to get Throg... sigh... glad we are getting him but wish he was coming with a more Kirby/Simonson style Thor.

Happy to get that Magik, agree would also have liked one with a regular arm. Also like the DD with the black letters. Not sure that the new Archangel or Constrictor is enough for me to double dip.

EDIT - I am tempted by that Onslaught though.

Honestly, the longer I look at Bullseye/Muse the more I'm into them. I sort of didn't pay attention to those at first and now I'm considering them.

He's not wrong on that one. But at the same time it is frustrating that some figures need to be updated due to not having been fully executed just a few years ago.

Is this figure better than the one from 15 years ago? I am sure it is for articulation, but think the older likeness was better.
 
Falcon and Daredevil are musts for me. I really like that Magik, but I'm not sure I really want to build out that particular team, so I'm debating her. I'll likely cave...I'm weak!

The Maximum Thor is cool, but I don't collect any of the looks from that era so it's an easy pass.

Don't really NEED that Archangel...but he is tempting.

Absorbing Man with no swappable powered up limbs? Seriously? Sheesh.

Constrictor looks good but...eh...don't need him.

The Spidey is an interesting conversation piece, but that's about it. No real interest in this one.

Crossing Avengers...meh. No thanks.

Muse & Bullseye are cool, but this is from an era I don't really have represented in my collection.

The good news is my wallet won't be utterly destroyed by these reveals.

I think the old one was based very directly on Coipel's art, while this one is more of a general impression of how the character has looked across the multiple appearances of this costume since that time. So I'd say it's a better figure in every way unless you specifically want to mirror that original Coipel face and don't care if it can pose well. And, to be fair, that first one was a damn banger and there's nothing wrong with sticking with it. I -still- own that one, myself.

I guess that depends on which figure wasn't fully executed and how long ago was 'a few years?' Constrictor came out a decade ago, for instance. So did Thor.

I really need to finish painting my GI Joe wolf auburn brown for Rahne. I have So many house projects to do I never get around to finishing my customs. Not sure why they don’t do that crossover stuff more often

I get that man...truly. This hobby is just getting too expensive, so I have to really pick and choose which figures I TRULY want. Back when these were $20 a pop I'd likely have gotten most of the wave, but now it's just too damned much for me to get more than a couple.

Yeah. There was a time when a series of reveals like this would have me going 'okay, so 80% of those are definite buys because they'll look great in the collection and/or replace a figure that's showing its age.' Now my reaction is that there is one figure - and it's a figure that's been top three in my wishlisting for at least 5 years now - that is a definite buy. Everything else is a conditional 'maybe I'll get that.' And even that is only another couple of figures.

There's no more universe building for me. No more buying full waves. No more caring about minor improvements to something I already have. Those days are gone.
 
I'm in for Falcon and Magik. I'll bite on Constrictor, Absorbing Man, Muse/Bullseye and Widow/Quicksilver if they ever go on sale.

Nah. There's a lot here that I like and Copiel was probably longer overdue for a revisit.

Quicksilver is one that I like a lot. He'll fit in great with the general 90's vibe that my collection has taken. Now let's get Gypsy Wanda.

Constrictor is a great classic villain that needed a redo. Falcon isn't my most wanted character, but a definite much needed addition to the shelf.

Still waiting for a Daredevil I like. Just want a classic Frank Miller style figure. Is this one a modern look that goes with that Bullseye?
 
I had a feeling Daredevil would get the action figure deco.. I don't love that.. but that new body looks nice.. I'm way more tempted by that Then I should be.

Definitely in for Falcon, Constrictor, Muse, and Thor.

I can talk myself into that Bullseye for parts and the Quicksilver/Widow for those head sculpts.

Absorbing Man is a bit of a let down for me.

No, this is a Daredevil with the deco on him from the original Secret Wars Daredevil figure. You can use your Elektra DD and the DD from the Mindless one wave, as they're by the same artist. Daredevil to go with that bullseye would be the below I believe though.
