DC Toys on Sale

I doubt that it will be the last time it's marked down. Prime Days are coming up soon, right? If it never hits that $125 price, I'm good just doing without. That's my max that I'm willing to pay for this. I wouldn't feel good about paying even that.
 
I'm only kinda tempted by the diorama walls, but I can't figure out what they would be good for. Anyone seen any cool uses?

I have a few things that don't really fit elsewhere in my collection, so I'm going to be using the diorama to give them something to do. My plan so far is to have ALF in the chair, hosting the show. I'll occasionally rotate in some figure that doesn't have a home as the "guest". There are 3D printing files online for the entire Murray Franklin set, so I think I'll print another wall or two to expand this one out a little bit and my "Musical Mutagen" TMNT will have a home as the house band.

I was also considering 3D printing a sofa and painting it the color of the furniture in this set, so that I can have other figures out with it (so it looks like they slide down when a new guest comes out).

The dio was my main reason for wanting the set, to be honest. Even though I can 3D print it, I still wanted the official.
 
The Murray Franklin set is marked down again, to $153.50 this time. Still not low enough for me to pull the trigger. $125 or bust!

The Camo tumbler is at $30 now. I have a couple of them and this is a very good price for something that can be used for other lines as well.
 
BBTS has the Joker/Murray set marked down to 175 for their Nov. 5 deal. Thought it was just for yesterday, but it's still up today if anyone needs it. Still a smidge outside my price range, since I just want Joker, but your mileage may vary
 
I stopped at a few Targets today and have seen quite few Page Punchers Superman, Extant & Cheetah. No Page Punchers Joker. Target has DC figures on clearance, so these might ring up the clearance price as well. I already have them, so I didn't check.
 
the page punchers and the collectors editions are NOT on sale... the basic line is half price clearance
 
The 2019 Joker set is back down to 144 on Amazon. I know I should just stop my hesitation and just order the dang thing, but I really only want Joker from it. Maaaaybe the set? I could take or leave Murray, honestly, and I don't care about the other goodies. Quick- someone talk me out of (or into) it!

I had been holding out on this, hoping for it to get to 50% off or better, but I went ahead and caved and ordered it today. This seems to be the same price point that it bottoms out at consistently so I'm sure there's some reason for that. Might be their cost per unit. I don't know.
 
I knew I could count on you rascals to be good bad influences. It's one of those things where I just gotta rip the band-aid off. Don't know what I'm waiting for. Considering, whenever he does pop up for sale loose on ebay, he usually goes for about 100-120 on average anyway, getting that extra stuff ain't thaaat bad a deal.
 
I dropped over $200 on the BTAS Batcave not too long ago so compared to that, paying $144 for this became a much easier pill to swallow. Twisted logic, right? I overspent on one thing so might as well spend on another. LOL
 
Well, I finally caved thanks to you hooligans. I had some gift cards from the holidays, and even I was getting tired of myself making excuses. Even if I don't/can't unload the unwanted parts, it's still another little check off my list, and it'll make me all the more happy to look at my DC movie shelf. Trying to be better with the "little treats" to myself this year, but I can always start that next week. ;)
