What a wonderful way to ensure that something I'd consider getting if it went on sale never gets bought by me! Then they can claim the "sale price" was the original $50?

"Rip off the few customers we have left" has never been a business practice that made any sense to me.
 
Got my Deathbird pack in last night and even though I ddnt want or need another Gladiator figure, finally having Cal'syee Nermani in my collection has me overjoyed.

Also the alt head for Gladiator is pretty fun and I decided to put that head on the figure and use in my cosmic dispaly while the previous version lives in my X-adversaries shelf.

Got Gladiator and Deathbird. This set is great!

Deathbird looks very cool. Love the personality in her head sculpt. Delightful villainous expression. Love the purple armor.

Gladiator was the main draw of the set for me. I love powerhouse characters like this. I liked the previous Gladiator figures, but this is a really nice upgrade. The Hercules body is one of my favorites. I just love the shape and proportions of the deltoids. Gladiator has new pinless biceps and triceps which are smaller than Herc’s but still look proportional. The new head sculpts are great. I particularly love the yelling laser eye head sculpt which is super dynamic. This fully pinless muscular body is one of the best base bodies now.

Got Gladiator and Deathbird today. Didn't really need a new Gladiator as I was pretty happy with the previous version but he is a nice figure, overall. I just wish these damned capes with the back peg were in any way easier to deal with. Not a problem unique to him, just always a bit of an annoyance when the peg in the back doesn't stay put or want to cooperate with different poses.

Deathbird is really fun. I'm almost ALWAYS anti-expressions on faces but she's one of those rare characters who kind of feels natural looking a little unhinged. I'm simultaneously intrigued and frustrated by the tubes in her arms - they are unique and cool but a bit of an annoyance when posing. And I think she really got shorted on accessories, absolutely nothing to go with her. even different shaped clawed hands or a neutral head, anything to give her more options would've been nice. Also... man, I'm just gonna say it. She's the first Legends figure I've bought since the Hellfire Club where I was like "wow, someone put a LOT of effort into making her rack look good." Like, not a judgement, not a bonus, just... It caught me off guard and, um, popped out at me.
 
They also seemed to pose her in package heaving/arching. I thought she was sculpted that way before I figured out the articulation (which is well hidden). Definitely a lot of... care? went into her.
 
They’ve strangely put a bunch of effort into bosoms for Deathbird and Destiny recently, meanwhile, Emma Frost has been skimped while having the most famous cleavage in Marvel comics.
 
Also slowly and with great shame am I raising my hand to acknowledge I too noticed right away that they gave a lot of depth detail to her cleavage.
 
Damn, I'm feeling my man card rating got lowered because I wasn't wowed over by Deathbirds bosom's. I do want to add that I wish her cape was removable. Not that I'd display her much without it, as it looks absolutely amazing, but so does the tubework going into her back. It's just a shame it's basically permanantly hidden.
 
I must be the "my eyes are up here" guy in that I was honestly so wowed by her portrait I hadn't really paid much attention to her other bits. Though, now that you mention it...

She's got limited range of motion, definitely, but I really like her for the sculpt and details.

I expect it's going to be a very busy and expensive month. I'm expecting that Starfox/Champion, Fury/Punisher, both Inhumans 2-packs, Secret Wars Iceman, the Skurge BAF wave and the 2nd Mini-Comic wave to all hit during November (many of these are already in stock in Canada) and then probably a break until the Spidey retro card wave in January.
