Honestly... This whole album is great. I know it's Ben Folds doing most of the heavy lifting, but that doesn't make it any less of a great listen.William Shatner's cover of Common People by Pulp.
I liked it when The Corrs and The Waterboys would do some nice takes on more traditional tracks as well. Can we do someone's version of a traditional? If so, I LOVE Sinead O'Connor's version of one of my favorite songs, Oró, Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile
Hm... Maybe she can make me enjoy jazz, I'll have to see. And have likely heard Corrs and Waterboys but will definitely seek them out as well, thank you!I liked it when The Corrs and The Waterboys would do some nice takes on more traditional tracks as well.
Sinead's album of jazz standards "Am I Not Your Girl" is awesome by the way.
The Corrs first album (Forgiven not Forgotten) has a few traditional Irish tracks as instrumentals arranged by them, along with their own pop songs; The Waterboys did two albums (Fisherman's Blues and Room to Roam) with mostly their own stuff but some traditional covers with a semi-traditional band line up.And have likely heard Corrs and Waterboys but will definitely seek them out as well, thank you!
