General Marvel Legends

I think it's also very possible that GR just isn't popular in the way people imagine. Like, lots of people like him, not as many *love* him. And that means he's the first one people say "well I would get him... maybe on discount" when they're doing budget. He's the character a lot of people would get if money wasn't a problem, but otherwise he's on the bubble for a lot of folks.

I do love the Danny i've got on my shelf though. I'm glad they made it even if it isn't selling as well as it should.

The Legendary Riders Johnny with the bike wasn't that hard to get when it released in 2019. I think I ended up picking it up in 2020 at clearance pricing online after passing on it for quite a while.

Diamond Emma is a long-time coming, but I wish the hair had more of a blue tint. It's looking like dirty crystal, not diamond. A blue tint would help it stand out - actually, the whole of her diamond skin having a blue tint would help offset the white of her costume. I think the package art nails it.

And if they were going to include an alt head, one of the 97 ones would have been nice.

None of the other reveals interests me on a character front. Owl looks cool - and there are Mandarin's claw hands true purpose - but I have zero connection to the character. The fact that Hypno-Hustler gets more original sculpt love than most female characters with their painted on costumes kinda pisses me off.

Been my gripe about Iceman for umpteen years now. When they finally do blue they go super dark blue plastic like on AOA. This new Secret Wars may be a step in a right direction, but Diamond Select seemed to have a decent "good enough" without many shots taken at him.

I'm hearing folks saying she looks more "Invisible" woman than Emma Frost power-wise. I was never a fan of her secondary mutation, I felt like it was just a one-up on Colossus to have her be one of the most powerful psychics and now she's physically a powerhouse too. I think this one may be popular but not a total sell-out for Target considering how many people already have Emma's. She's a popular character, but even retro Gambit was on sale for almost a year.

Ghost Rider was not part of the overproduction of 2022/2023 - he's a 2024 release - hence the window.

Didn't he get a factory re-run? He was hard to find for a bit but I think he got restocked around the time Xavier did?

I still *really* want them to release Robbie. Tired of an Avenger being held captive to their own dumb idea.

In general, I thought there was going to be a post COVID/Ollie's Dump correction at Hasbro. It seemed like the speculation going around was, "you better preorder or you might not get your figures (with no secondary mark-up)." I'm actually preordering less. Has there been any non-exclusive difficult to acquire figures the last two, nearly three years? I would say no, judging by all the thumbnails of aroused 45 year olds standing in front of ML two packs and Hulkbusters at Ross.

No interest in anything revealed for Marvel except, irritatingly, I kind of want the Spidey chain for Ghost Rider.
I would recommend going to Michaels (craft store) and getting a chain and some wire from the jewelry section. They have several sizes of each, so you can make a flexible chain that will look better too, and at a fraction of the cost.

Source: I did this for the Spawn w/ throne figure (because McF was too lazy to give us real chains).

I'm watching Dan Who? Reviews interview with Dwight. A few things:
-The gold bars and the bag go together.
-The BAF team completer is not Skurge. It's a BAF team completer is in 2026.
-Hepzibah and Raza "are expensive". Also, challenging is the "level of awareness of the characters". Obviously Warbow has a much higher level of awareness than these two Starjammers...
-Swappable face plates will continue but will hopefully be better engineered than Medusa.
-No plans currently to make the recent made-to-order Apocalypse into a comic accurate one.
-Dwight: "Magneto would make a good Maximum figure". He offered that. He wasn't asked directly.

Yeah, Dwight's comments about the Starjammers seems pretty odd. When I mentioned them at SDCC he seemed very enthusiastic about them and completing that team. He certainly didn't give me any indication they would be difficult to make, like he said the original Guardians would be. Maybe his comments to Dan Who? Reviews was a red herring, and they already have plans to complete that team.
