Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

I like the forum format because it's easy to keep organized, and I can post at length. I'm on Facebook and Instagram for the news I get about toys I collect, but I don't ever comment there. I don't need to. I can do that here. Most of the people who comment on social media are just very dumb.
That last line is so true. :ROFLMAO:
I'm really only ever on one forum mostly. I'll spend sometime commenting elsewhere once and awhile. But I have zero interest in doing any social media. Major time sucker with very little value.

Zabu was a grab bag but those are some heavier hitters with Cable, Ka-Zar, Wolfsbane, and even Thor saw a lot of demand. I never even saw him.
I can't stand that Thor.

Literally, that figure refuses to stand. And I thought he looked so cool with the flowing hair but he sucks SO BAD. He's currently propped against the bottom of the couch that also supports Galactus - actually, just looked to confirm and he is facedown on Ghost Rider. HATE HIM.

Void wave is an unofficial Avengers wave:
Avengers - Vision, Black Panther, Namor, Justice
Avengers ally - Namorita
Avengers enemies - Power Princess, BAF Void
Wild Card - Crystar

Skurge wave - you can fudge an Avengers theme:
Avengers - Iron Man, Wolverine
Avengers Allies/adversaries - Phantom Rider, Werewolf By Night
Avengers enemies - Dark Avengers Spider-Man, Enchantress, BAF Skurge
Wild Card - Warbow

Just guessing -
Zabu wave seems thrown together from a planned Avengers wave and an X-Men wave that were cancelled:
Avengers - Iron Man, Thor (Black Winter), Ikaris (Avengers ally), Red Widow (Avengers enemy)
X-Men - Wolfsbane, Cable, Ka-Zar, BAF Zabu
At the time I speculated on the other site that the EOV failure switched some things up and planned Avengers and X BAF waves were affected. I thought (and still do) that there was a planned Ghost Rider Retro Card wave to coincide with the EOV shipping. The EOV failed, the Retro Card wave was cancelled, and they had some supernatural characters that needed to go somewhere, so they created the Strange Tales wave, which only had one character that was actually tied to any of the Strange Tales comic books.
I think the planned waves would have included, but some characters were pulled into the cobbled together Strange Tales wave:
X-Wave: Wolfsbane, Cable, Ka-Zar, Strange Tales Hellverine & Bloodstorm, BAF Zabu plus 2 other characters that ended up elsewhere.
Avengers Wave - Iron Man, Thor (Black Winter), Ikaris, Red Widow, Strange Tales wave Moon Knight & Brother Voodoo, green suit Wal-Mart Quicksilver. Or maybe Lockjaw as the BAF and Crystal as part of the wave.
Ghost Rider Retro Card Wave - Lilith, Dracula, Blackheart

I don't find any of these Executioner characters to really fit a theme or era or even have heavy hitters outside of Logan and Iron Man.

I would argue that Ai aipac is just black costume six arm Spider-Man, who also counts as a heavy hitter.

Damn I forgot he was even in the wave. Even when he was announced people were like, When did he look like that, not the Gargan I want.

But it is a black suit Spider-Man so yeah that's pretty heavy.

Yeah I guess they are just all grab bag. Since I don't really care about those building figures, I never really noticed. I was usually just in for one or two.

This is where I land. These seem very much like Avengers waves rather than a random grab bag.

Ai Apaec’s legs look like Amazing Fantasy legs, not the larger Renew Your Vows body. If that’s the case, I’m surprised they went in that direction. That’s a small body.

Losing BAF pieces is absolutely an objective value loss - there is less in the box.
While true, the potential value gain is if the sculpting and accessory budget for the BAF is allocated to the remaining 6 figures, it might result in less reuses and open up options for other figures currently being skipped due to development costs.

The 3 pack Scarlet Witch doesn't have that issue much cause she doesn't have heels and the cape holds most of her weight, at least on mine. But the one previous to that with heels I could take a redo of. The one that actually shows skin, and her knees and feet are awful.
