Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

In the NYCC recap video posted on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel (which is pre-recorded, but posted after the in-person event), Dwight also made a big thing about wanting Phantom Rider's horse to Dan. Really hope that means something!

This wave looks great. I love Werewolf by Night's big scruffy beard face. An alternate head was a real need here, so a bummer the didn't get one.

I did a double take at Executioner wondering why he didn't look quite right. The sculpt is great, but the emblem really needs to be pink! I think his legs and torso armor matching is also throwing me off - the torso should have a slight bronze tint to it to differentiate it. Glad to hear he'll be big - excited to see booth pics.

Dwight also mentioned how Ai Apaec / Dark Spider-Man got us one member away from completing the Dark Avengers, which Dan hinted would be revealed soon (gotta be Hawkeye/Bullseye). But to be all comic book fanboy about it, that's not technically true for this version of the team - the six-armed Dark Spider-Man was on the later iteration with Gorgon as Wolverine, Skaar, Superia, Ragnarok, etc. I'd also grab that team if they made them, but I'm sure that's not what he meant.

Yeah, I like this six-armed Dark Spidey, and I'm sure it will inevitably repainted in classic colors. But I want Mac Gargan in the sedated Venom symbiote for the Dark Avengers. I know I could just use a Spider-Man, but Gargan's build should be thicker.

Agreed! I think the Spider-Man retro symbiote release is the closest to that build - maybe the meaner looking head from this figure would work on that body.
 
I've just been using monster Venom in my Dark Avengers display. Figured that was the best we would get...

I am sure Dan is referencing Bullseye's Hawkeye as the last addition, but they REALLY need to redo Ares.

We definitely need a new Ares. The last release is based a super old BAF.
 
I was really hoping for a single release of Iron Patriot. Never got the new one as I didn't need the other 2 figures. Again.

I initially thought I could skip that Iron Man (what an ugly costume) and find an axe from elsewhere (LCBH Conan, most likely). But then they went and packed the head in there too. Bah.

On the other hand, GI Logan just became skippable. Sorry soldier.

Still excited by Amora, Jack, Warbow and Phantom. I’m guessing Spidey will be easy enough to shift.

No offense to all those Warbow fans out there, but if it was Martinex instead, this entire wave would be a slam dunk for me.

As it is, it's really an Avengers wave:
Iron Man - Official card-carrying Avenger
Dark Spider-Man - Dark Avengers
Phantom Rider - re-occurring guest in West Coast Avengers with the Rangers
Werewolf By Night - made a few appearances in West Coast Avengers with the Night Shift and alone.
Enchantress and Skurge - Avengers villains

Nah. Just slap one of numerous Logan heads we’ve gotten over the years on a Classified body. Mainframe is about the the ight height.
 
I love Warbow for what he represents about ML - the more total weirdos that nobody saw coming, the better. Think of the most obscure Marvel character you want a figure of, that 90% of fans have never heard of and could not care less about, and despair at their chances of being made. Then, look to Warbow! And your hope is renewed. If Warbow can be made, anyone is fair game.
