G.I. Joe Classified Series

Oh don’t get me wrong. The new Baroness body will be reused. But I doubt Pilot Baroness will. Certainly, a new Baroness in black will happen on that body. And a medium blue (cartoon, early comic). And maybe a crimson further down the road. I can see the pilot version of her being locked behind Haslab though.

You guys had to start talking about the Baroness. I hadn't thought about her or the Rattler in a minute or two. Looks like the Rattler all tiers is around $480-$490. The most recent Baroness sale appears to be a headless figure at $80. One recent sale from California had shipping for her alone priced at $112. eBay seems to have flipped from nearly everyone offering "free shipping" to mostly paid shipping with some at ludicrously high shipping. As a seller, I experimented with "free shipping" and exact cost, but couldn't find a clear advantage to one or the other. A buyer would benefit to exact cost in most cases.

Not related to Joes figures, but this popped up in my feed a few minutes ago and someone pointed out that 80s helicopter stunt pilots were often war veterans who had already seen enough shit to not be afraid to do stuff with their helicopters that were beyond, y'know, SAFETY, and it immediately made me think of who the Joes pilots might've been based on IRL.

Anyway, I need to rewatch Blue Thunder.

there's that one helicopter stunt in the original Magnum PI. Copter comes out from over/through some trees as a car drives by. It's so crazy. Looks awesome. And it was just for a weekly tv show. I love watching 70s and 80s shows almost for the weekly stunt shows they had. Rockford Files has great car chases in almost every episode. Fall Guy. A-Team. CHiPs. I'll watch those shows as pure comfort food.

Speaking of which ...

Sigh. Big Lob is essential and looks amazing, actually like a basketball player.
He’s a completely annoying character (sorry guys but a dude who speaks in sports metaphors is grated on me even at 10 years old), but I gotta have him.

Also: Budo is fucking AMAZING. Dice’s unmasked head seems made to go under the ancient samurai helmet. Budo himself looks coolest in the modern armor with the badass hair-down head. He is tough as hell, but also I can’t help calling him “Kyle!” in a South Park voice.

“Yeah, Kyle, kick those ninjas’ asses!!”

Hah, I was commenting at some point about how similarly drawn Big Lob from the movie and the Real Ghostbusters Winston Zeddemore are. Now this likeness for Classified Big Lob looks like Ernie Hudson in GB2 to me!

Nope. They didn't have ab crunches.
I thought the new Gambit from the 2 pack has an ab crunch, and that has been panned as a Starting lineup body? That looks almost exactly the same as his, with a shirt on of course. That is a prerender though, so it may just look like one and be all new anyway.

It does, and it is. It's a plain body though. Big Lob has tucked in shirt sculpting at the bottom.
