Is that what she called it?Speaking of not having time to take pics but getting a barrage of toys, Hawk and his pet missile system just showed up.

Welp, now I'm going to spend too much brain energy today pondering Hawk's love life...Is that what she called it?
Are you TRYING to get banned? On a non-dick joke note
That's more like it.it's just the right size to be fun
I think it was Bees' review that I watched of him and yeah, it does not appear that he has a sheath on him at all. Which is definitely weird. I find that I really like Hawk in photos/videos, but he's also a figure I am okay with skipping. I almost want the missile system more than I'd ever want Hawk.Except I can't find his knife sheath.
It's a fun sized missile system. Guaranteed to not leave you walking funny the next day, but it's a great ride. That's more like it.

I totally see that. I can't imagine the Hawk I have getting improved on, and there's only a handful of characters I would get more than one version of, but he still looks like a great figure. That's the thing with some of the characters in the One-A-Day thread... yeah, they don't seem all that interesting sometimes, but I know Classified would change that.Yeah, I'm enthralled with the figure but I wouldn't call him a must-buy, especially given that the first Hawk they released is just goddamned fantastic. But I also expected to be disappointed in the Snake Eyes accessory that came with the polar bear, but he's just so simple and fun to pose he hasn't left my desk since I got him. Same reaction - just hand candy without being flashy.
The crazier/more elaborate Joes are more impressive and interesting. But the simpler figures with less going on feel like they're more -fun- to me. Cartoon Breaker is a great example. I had more fun posing him around than I did with most other Joes besides maybe the Retro Viper. Straight forward, lower-detail, not much in the way of fiddly parts. Just fun. But yeah, fun in a way that doesn't leave you going 'this is the best figure they've done' - weirdly enough.Yeah, I'm enthralled with the figure but I wouldn't call him a must-buy, especially given that the first Hawk they released is just goddamned fantastic. Whenever I buy a figure I think - what story does this tell. This Hawk is not crazy impressive but what my brain immediately did was "what stories does Hawk have from before the Joes were launched? Who was he before he was responsible for all these lunatics and rejects?" Hence instant love for a very ordinary figure.I totally see that. Man, I'm so easy to make happy with a SIMPLE figure. The more I have to fight with it the less likely I'll enjoy it. Probably why I have too many Spider-Man figures - they're just color variants on a really nice, unassuming base body. It's funny, I was setting up a photo the other day and needed a comms guy and I totally reached for cartoon Breaker instead of Dial Tone because while I objectively think Dial Tone is a cooler figure, Breaker was just a lighter setup. All my favorite Classified are "this guy just looks cool holding a rifle dramatically."The crazier/more elaborate Joes are more impressive and interesting.
