Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

I honestly don't think Teela is that bad. I see what they were going for, almost angry eyes that wound up looking sleepy because of how much of the iris is covered. She's not a home run like Evil Lyn, but she reuses so much of that sculpt that I can't fault her in that regard. I also like the snake armor, which clips on pretty securely to the head of my figure. I'm eagerly awaiting a ship notice on the two more Teelas I have ordered at Amazon.

My Teela/Hordak have consistently been saying Thursday for a while now, but no shipping yet. I generally get stuff next day though, so it might not happen till tomorrow.

Sadly, Revolution/Revelation does seem to be done. There were still things I was interested in from that era. New Eternia/Etheria is a lock, movie stuff of course, and the vintage continuing. Truly not sure if they'd pivot to 200x or not given the Mondo and Origins situation, but it's not inconceivable. But I feel like next year's gonna be pretty movie focused. Meanwhile, I'm the only one in town who'd love to see them put out more from the CG Netflix show in Masterverse! 😱

Shokoti, Lord Masque and Batros are my top 3 for New Eternia treatment.

I also want my faithful minicomic Trap-Jaw NOW.

Like the yellow-ish skin look? I've been reading those minicomics and yeah that look rocks. Neon green/yellow, red, and silver. Makes him really stand out.

Oh btw, found some Masterverse at Target for $16.79 on sale today if anyone is looking to pick up some local stock. Got Thunder Fists He-Man and Sy-Klone at my local store.

New Eternia Stinkor, Modulok, any and all Snakemen, Rokkon, there are plenty I'm still down for when/if they get to them.

Also probably down if they wanted to do concept/sketch series stuff in the Masterverse format, and troop builders like Origins gets would be welcome too.

Yep, that’s the one! With the stripey trunks, furry boots, no pants and rams-head belt. Silver metal parts, boxy blaster, silver jaw withOUT fully-molded teeth (the recent New Eternia doesn’t count).

The KLUT I opened today had a shield with missing straps. Bad QC. At least my previous KLUT was not using her shield. But that’s lame.

KLUT is a good-looking figure, but you do risk her having eyes looking up, or WAY up. Some folks seemed to have her eyes centered correctly, or at least in an acceptable spot. Mine looked like the Undertaker. Her eyes we so far up you'd think they were rolling into the back of her head.

But when you put her snake armor hood on, it covers her eyes up some anyways. So, that's how I display mine. But I'd say the inevitable vintage collection Teela will beat this one. Still GillMan, KLUT aka New Eternia Teela is worth the gamble, I think.

And damn NORM that sucks. There has been some bad QC lately across the board of all MOTU lines. Mattel needs to step it up.

When my KLUT arrives tomorrow we are going to compare KLUTS. We will see who has the KLUTTIEST of KLUTS.

Here I am thinking...who the hell is KLUT?

My Masterverse Kobra Khan arrived via Amazon yesterday. Will open him later. Hopefully, he's the first of many Masterverse Snakemen.

I am curious what this line looks like next year. Certainly, there will be new movie product for Masterverse and Origins. But given how recent movie lines have been a bit more conservative in their scope, I wonder just how much new movie product there is for He-Man. Mattel does well with the Jurassic stuff, but dinosaurs are evergreen product. There isn't a ton of MOTU product on store shelves right now anyway. So it make sense to go with the movie push. But just how much movie stuff are they planning? Certainly, Mattel hopes the movie pushes the brand into uber-relevance again and will want to support it with product. Will we still get mixed media Masterverse waves? Will they be replaced with movie characters? Will there be concurrent Masterverse lines?

Justice, did your KLUT come in today? I just wondered where she was lookin'.

Also, for the Wal-Mart Collector Con on the 9th and 10th, there are two Masterverse Vintage Collection figures that will be up for pre order on the 10th I believe. It doesn't say which two characters they are though. But you may want to add them to your favorites list, so you can pre order them quick.

There is also for the Origins line, a Deluxe Origins Cartoon Collection 200X Figure of Samurai He-Man for the 10th as well.
