G.I. Joe Classified Series

Dial Tone really is one of the best figures of the year. The fact that he has a wrist-mounted set of Allen wrenches is such a delightfully small and cool detail. I love that figure. (I almost wish we hadn't gotten Breaker and Dial Tone so close together because now when I do setups I don't know which Comms guy to use--but I'd rather have them both than be missing either.)

Now I'm waiting for my AWE shipping notification too, getting jealous of everyone else. That was my first "real" sized Joe vehicle as a kid and I've always loved the angry little bastard who drives it.

I did just get shipping notification for Budo though. After canceling my second Slice and Dice to save money and regretting it, I decided Past Doc was correct in ordering two Budos so I can do clean-cut fully armored Budo AND the John Wick of Joes Ninjas at the same time. Wasting money, I'm sure, but damn they put so much energy into making him cool.
 
Those two really seem to be the easiest to find. I guess the soldier was real popular? I've never seen him on sale and don't see him for even retail anymore.

I usually am cool with the flat paint jobs on Classified but AWE Striker looks like it could use a wash and some dry brushing. I'm going to be bummed when mine arrives right after spray-sealing weather is gone.

I was watching a livestream with some Joe fans/Toy Tubers (I think it was hosted by "Destro is my Spirit Animal"). They were talking about some of the wacky stuff from Joe and this came up. Honestly someone on the panel had a good idea for this in Classified. Not that a box on wheels is a good idea but......replace the missiles with drones and you have a more modern idea for a simple design. I think the shape/design of the "box" would also have to be changed, but I think it might be a fun idea for Classified.
