Masters of the Universe: Origins

Yeah there's a lot different between the two cartoon collection She-Ra's. I'll only need one so I'll have to do some in-hand comparing when it arrived and decide which I like better. They both look good.

Hope mine ships soon.

I'm kinda hoping that they give her Cheetara's longer legs, but I'm sure this is futile.

In Pixel Dan's video on She-Ra and Swiftwind, the only real difference between regular toon She-Ra and this one appear to be the head/hair and the cape. The body looks exactly the same, but the single release had the flat laying hair and plastic cape.

Just got notice that my Mattel Creations order has shipped (She-Ra/Swiftwind).

That was a fast turn around.
I got tracking also, and was hoping that this, like many other recent POs, was actually an in stock order. Psyched as hell to get this set. But it's really making me want a worth Battle Cat. I considered swapping Cringer legs onto the Origins BC, but that one has sculpted fur texture, and Cartoon Cringer does not.

I got the Fright Zone today! NORM told me to get it, so I did. And before someone says, "If NORM asked you to jump off a bridge, would you?" YES, I WOULD!

But this playset is awesome. I love the vintage Fright Zone, but this one is superior. I'm definitely doing as planned and going full frontal with its display, since that has the most vintage, old-school look. But I do love the back with the Throne and everything. The big creature being a big bulky plastic monster toy instead of a rubber puppet is also fun.

I'll always love my vintage Fright Zone, but this one is incredible.

Now, we just need the Slime Pit.

Glad you’re satisfied with the Fright Zone, @Super Camel. The new one really is an upgrade. It’s more than double the fun of the original. They had minor upgrades to Snake Mountain, but Grayskull seemed to be just about the same as the original. Fright Zone got the biggest glow up of the three. When I think back to the original, it really was limited in what it offered. Some fun gimmicks, and a puppet that stole the show. The two previous sets had interior AND exterior appeal, where the Fright Zone only had exterior stuff. Glad they reworked this one to maximize what it can do. Even the original gimmicks work better, like the tree and the ground grabby thing.

Good thing you didn't go the full Norm though. Who has room for 6 Fright Zones!

I don't know anything about Stranger Things but Hellfire Man is fucking amazing and I want it right now (and will probably never get it).
I actually also think the Optimus He-Man is pretty great, but I am a well-known sucker for He-Man variants. Also will not get it because the price is fucking stupid.

That Hellfire Man actually looks like a MotU character. I hemmed and hawed over the two previous Stranger Things sets, but I immediately POed this one. Dig it.

These Transformers crossovers though.. That just looks like He-Man cosplaying as Optimus Prime. These seem so forced, and unnecessarily expensive.
