Muppets (including The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock)

I hope Mr. Johnson comes with a hat to be Soundman Simon. I'd buy two to display both characters, if that's the case. Will they reveal any more characters this weekend?

I wonder when Big Bird, Oscar, and Herry will go up for pre-order. I can't tell how much the figures have been changed from when we saw them at NYCC. At this point, I thought at least one of them would have gone up for pre-order. Hopefully soon.

Veebs posted on Instagram that Big Bird will be the next NECA Sesame Street figure to come out. He speculated it will be solicited in the next couple of weeks because it is supposed to come out by the end of the year.

I hope they make his body a little bit wider/rounder in the final figure and hide the articulation cuts a little better. I would think the feather texture could hide articulation pretty well, but maybe bigger gaps are needed for the desired range of motion. Overall, I'm really excited to add him to my collection.

Now that SDCC 2025 is over, I'm counting down the days to SDCC 2026 when NECA will definitely be showing off some DST- and Palisades-scaled Muppet figures. I am still hopeful the DST Sweetums, Pepe, and Deadly come out. I think they are the only products on DST's website that are listed as 'Pre-Order Sold Out' but have not been released. They be out any day now, I'm sure!

Wonder what the status of the Super7 ReAction Sesame Street line is. I see new repaints and blind box repaints announced. Hoping for a few more new figures now that I saw NECA’s Mr Johnson! Love to see him in ReAction size

Plain Grover
Harry Monster
Kermit is probably a stretch

Although DCBS canceled my Sweetums and Robin set a couple weeks back, today I got an orders status email notice for Entertainment Earth and Uncle Deadly was still on that list as shipping October....

Entertainment Earth and Big Bad Toy Store haven't canceled any of the DST Muppets sets I have on pre-order. If the new owners stopped production of every figure that hadn't shipped at time of purchase back in May, then I assume all new products have already been shipped to retailers. But, I'm hopeful ee and bbts know differently.

Wondering when the NECA Big Bird will go up for preorder. Hoping the line is successful so far.
I saw speculation Big Bird could go up for pre-order or order during the Target event happening now. I think it's going for a coupl3 more weeks, could be wrong though. It seems like Bert and Ernie are selling well, and Count kept selling out at Target.com. I certainly hope the line is doing well. There are so many more figures I want them to make.

I've never had BBTS take the initiative. Not like they hold the money, though.

Revoltech Juri and Chun Li were delayed "indefinitely" some months ago, but most US and CA stores still say September, as example. And they'll keep knocking it back.

I want everybody from Sesame Street but I would be less unhappy with an incomplete line here than on a lot of other properties. Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, Oscar, Grover, Count, and Cookie Monster would represent the property well enough that I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.

I agree, but I also am just a little concerned it is doing well enough to get to all those you mentioned (plus Snuffy). I think I expected a bit faster pace to the releases, since we saw Big Bird, Oscar and Herry Monster at Toy Fair 6 months ago, and Mr. Johnson at SDCC 3 months ago. Maybe the whole tariff situation put things on pause or slowed things.

I hope that's all it is. I haven't really paid attention to in stock levels of Bert and Ernie anywhere. Not sure if they have sold out or what. Can't recall anyone at Neca commenting on how the line is doing so far, but I sure hope the line doesn't go the way of the Dinosaur(s line).

That said, at least we have Bert and Ernie and not something weird like Bert and Prairie Dawn. Even just having Bert, Ernie, Oscar, Count, and Big Bird wouldn't be the end of the world for me. Wait is this the bargaining stage of grief for a line that isn't even dead yet?

I haven't seen Bert/Ernie at Target in months, but they've been hanging around Best Buy for a while.

Likewise, I could live without a deep selection of characters from this line. I have the most important pair, I have the legendary Count Von Count, I have Palisades Super Grover and Muppet News Flash Kermit. I have ReAction Yip Yips. I have the Alligator King. It could end for me right here and I'd be plenty satisfied. Of course, I'd love the main characters like Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, standard Grover, and I'd welcome deeper dives like Guy Smiley, Telly, Two-Headed monster, Forgetful Jones, etc etc. But in what seems like a new world order, I'll take what I can get without grief.

This is NECA we are talking about here.

I'm surprised we are even getting Mr. Johnson and Harry Monster. I think that shows a commitment to the line--however, I fear it isn't enough to sustain the line going forward, and they'll abandon it at the first sign of trouble.

It's not a line for built for the sturdy foundation of the completionist. We aren't talking the 2002 Palisades Muppets line here, where we could all afford to go all in on every tertiary character. We are talking 2025, post-COVID, tariffed prices--and Sesame Street sadly just doesn't have the same following that the Muppets themselves have--all in my opinion, of course--for people willing to spend this sort of casheesh for every minor character.

As much as I love these, and I hope I'm wrong, I'll be surprised if we even actually see that Mr. Johnson come out.

Is this just a gut feeling or do you know something??
