Star Wars Movie and Streaming Series Discussion

Doctor Who verses Ken! I love Matt Smith, but I'm sad Hollywood continually casts him as the villain nowadays. At least we'll get a good head basis for a 6" Doctor custom.

On the note of adapting Rebels/Ahsoka, I think perhaps one of the stumbling blocks was Ahsoka's voice. Ahsoka has only ever had Ashley Eckstein's high voice while Rosario's is very low. It's a major basic difference and I wonder if that's part of why audiences had trouble with live-action Ahsoka because the literal tenor of the character changed - the script could be the same but the lower register makes everything feel heavier?

With Andor winning five Emmys, thankfully including ones for Production Design, Editing and Writing, any chance Hasbro will revisit with some new figures? At this point the only one I think guaranteed is Kleya at some point, because of how much she popped.

I know Emmy voters don't equal action figure collectors (probably), but the show is worth celebrating on shelves, awards or figures.

I think Hasbro would be silly not to at this point. There's still some major players they're leaving out currently- Kleya, Syril, Partagaz, the latter of whom is a pretty easy part re-use. Even before the awards there was demand for them, which I'm sure will only intensify now.

As a teaser, I am OK with focusing on Grogu highjinks and action while not giving any story away. The title font has a certain b-movie or serialized adventure - Star Wars meets Indiana Jones in tone?

Eh I dunno. Maybe I'm too cynical on Monday mornings.
Right there with you. Is this just the fourth season made into a movie? It sure feels like it. But I'm hoping for the best.

And we're already going to have a lot of the Grogu moments, I'm not sure how much I can take of those little guys from Rise of Skywalker on top of it.

I do really like Sigourney Weaver, though ...

I'm one of those people that did not hate the second and third seasons of Mando, so I'm here for this. If it retains the tone and storytelling of the previous seasons, I'll be happy.

I firmly enjoyed the second season but struggled to feel interested in the third. I still haven't finished it. I'm sure the movie will do well though.

I absolutely loved (early) season one Mando and Baby Yoda. But the farther they went along, the farther they got from what I really liked. I was an immediate fan of an underdog Mandalorian with his scrappy armor, Lone Wolf & Cub-ing it around the galaxy in his beat-up space camper with a magic baby that he knows almost nothing about. None of that premise remains anymore and I've almost completely lost interest.
