I noticed the color swap as well. Either someone mixed up the colors in the two-pack, or maybe more likely, they're planning rereleases on Retro Cards.
 
Got my Cover Girl(s) from Amazon today, my SECOND most anticipated figure of the year. So first off - hell, she's perfect. In fact she's too perfect because I thought I'd dislike the smiling head. I actually got two so I could put Cover Girl With Her Trashy Hat fixing the VAMP and Cover Girl No Hat hanging out for combat and use her normal face for both, but now that I have her hand, both faces are gorgeous.

I thought I might throw an extra head on the OTHER Cover Girl but I don't think the skin tones match up well. But I do still genuinely like the other CG - I know she's not what we expect her to look like, but I just like her in general. But the retro one is a MASSIVE improvement.

But! I have the most ridiculous factory fuckup I've seen in this line. One of the CGs I got has two left biceps. Like, her right bicep is her left bicep - her E4 patch is on both arms, and on the INSIDE of her right arm. It doesn't impinge movement, I didn't notice until I'd completely unboxed and recycled her packaging, so I'm just going to keep her, but I'm gonna stick the smiling face on that one and have it be her "I don't know who made this jacket but they done fucked it up" quirky version. That being said, I also wasn't sure I would love the had but it's so fuckin' cute. Like, I loved Flint but Flint was exactly what I expected him to be. CG is better than expected.

Televiper, Slice and Dice, and Monkeywrench are all showing up in the next day or two. Yo Joe Weekend!
 
Got CoverGirl today as well. The faces really are top notch and I enjoy the swappable hair/hat combo. I can't help but see Megyn Kelly in either face though. I received Flint a few weeks ago. The figure's face looks like some Latin heartthrob, while the box art looks like a screaming Ben Shapiro in a beret to me. I still don't think they've nailed Flint's likeness despite the retro figure being a better version. Overall CoverGirl looks great, comes with plenty and has enough options to customize her to your liking. She somewhat reminds me of J. Scott Campbell's "Danger Girl" or a Charlie's Angels homage. Other than a few of those generic police figures that look great and some Ghost Vipers, I think this will be all the GI Joe's for the remainder of the year for me.
 
Wow... my two Cover Girl figures arrived today for me as well, and unfortunately each of them has one eye printed off center...on one of them its the left eye and on the other its the right. The heads with hats on are good, its just the standard heads with the issue. Its such a shame because its such a great looking figure.
 
Nope, they're gone.

I was so immersed in Batman Returns drama yesterday that these fellas didn't register at all. Target's MO seems to be that once they start to hit actual stores they become more available, at least where I live, so I'm not panicking.

And I see that like Batman Returns, the price is yucky but it didn't prevent a sell out. We'll pay anything. Hasbro and McFarlane know that about us by now.
 
I was unimpressed by the Steeler/Short Fuze reveal at the time, but I *just* got the shipping notification for my Ramen Tank the day before they went live.

No way that was planned, but it was very effective.
 
Missed the 2 pack again. Honestly I will buy it the second I see it in store - hopefully I do - but if it eventually gets discounted I would buy extras. The 'plain' green fatigues are great for building up background guys or making my own characters.

Since Kenner made the original toys, and Hasbro assimilated Kenner like The Borg, I want another subline in Classified, made in the style of Classified, so we can seamlessly incorporate these figures/characters in with our existing G.I. Joe Classified (have I made clear how I don't want these standing out from the GIJC line? 😅)...

I saw the latest wave at Target for the first time today. I really need to watch the spending for a bit so I had to leave them for now.

Monkeywrench is probably my main want because I got my Dreadnok display looking sweet right now.

I really wanted silver paint on the armored CC, instead we got the silver plastic. In person it doesn't look as bad as I was anticipating, I was still hoping for paint. Great set of accessories though, I'll probably end up getting this one.

No interest in Bludd as I have the CI version still which is basically the same figure without the red accents (which I'm not wild about).

I could never get into Snake Eyes v4, but this guy does look tempting. Had they muted the colors (both on the vintage version and Classified) I'd be down for it.
 
How Pulse ships is such a mystery to me. I got charged for Monkeywrench like two weeks ago and he's been on a cross country road trip with DHL, but I got charged for Slice and Dice on Thursday and the showed up this morning.

I honestly regret not getting two sets - I really want to use both heads from Slice and both the unmasked and dragon head for Dice. The team, once again, did not need to go this hard with a set but man they must love them some ninjas cos these two are great.
 
At least you can see yours. My slice n Dice is DHL and they just say "Sorry, your tracking attempt was not successful. Please check your tracking number." Umm, I'm clicking the link from Hasbro Pulse DHL, I don't even know what the right or wrong number is. Lol.
