G.I. Joe Classified Series

This thread just made me say a sentence that should not exist: “I mean, Mindbender has more practical, executable science knowledge than Elon Musk.”

He didn’t buy the science for Serpentor with his inheritance, dude put in the work.

You mean what Docsilence comes up with because I'm sure he's cooking up something, heh heh.

I was going through some of my filecards and found one for a character who is quietly securing loyalty from Cobra who aren't into it anymore but are afraid of being hunted down if they leave, so she's plotting against CC not to take over but to just end the damn thing. And I can't place where any of it came from, so I was wondering... did I simply write this? @docsilence or did I steal this from you? If so, it's really good!

That’s not one of mine. I’ve got the two Python Patrol officers who have no idea who is in charge and are like Cobra’s version of Waiting for Godot.

See, that’s the thing: especially above the rank-and-file, Cobra operatives would actually tend to be hyper-competent.
To use the MAGA analogy: dudes like Hegseth and Vance and such are dilettante fascists, who might put on a decent show but are certainly not going to pick up a laser rifle and lead a brigade of Range-Vipers into the jungle, and if they tried they would be very much not-alive. The Cobra hierarchy is expected to go regularly into actual combat, not be an arrogant pundit on a propaganda news network (though they might have to do that too). Incompetence, cowardice, disloyalty . . . all these things are going to get you dead, either at the hands of the Commander after a mission, or during a mission at the hands of ninjas and dudes who carry Gatling guns as sidearms. If you think about it, all the Cobra operatives must be FANTASTIC at their jobs, just because they are still alive with (most of) their limbs!
 
OK so I totally fell down a Joe rabbit hole...

I got my Roo from Streets of Rage figure in and a second Big Boa to repaint into Kangor from the Brazilian Forca Fera (Beast Force) line.

It then got me looking at the rest of Forca Fera

Tigor - who is a repainted combo of Recoil and Scoop; and comes with a tiger sidekick

Leontor - a Backblast repaint with a Lion

and Urzor - a repaint of Repeater with a bear companion.

And it has me pushing Backblast, Repeater, Recoil and Scoop up my want list so I can make them. I can totally reapint a polar bear brown to be Urzor's companion (I'm calling him Pardo for now)

If I had been smart and got an extra Guenhyvar when they were cheaper I could repaint that into more Puma like colors to go with Tigor

I've got a lion leftover from the Narnia line I can pair with Leontor...

But now I want to make these. I'm sure I can probably scavenge parts that are similar to the unmade Joe characters if I decide I can't wait...

Sigh, like I needed more to do 😆
