Mini Comic Wave 2

Intrigued by Beast, as noted a non-furry version would be great, especially an X-Factor one, as they must be itching to get X-Factor Angel out there to reuse that sculpt.

But I wonder how popular he might be for solo release - I figured he'd be in a two-pack with an X-Factor Bobby at some point. Given its a solo release I expect a furry version.
 
If this lineup is accurate, I could be in for Black Widow, Silver Surfer, and Daredevil.

I'd take an upgraded gray bodysuit Widow, Surfer on a bigger body, and Daredevil's black Man Without Fear tracksuit.

I'll only be a little peeved that I bought the Walgreens Silver Surfer rerelease less than a year ago.
 
Pretty drab line-up if true.

Might just be Rachel for me. Feral does ping my ‘new character’ radar, but I have zero connection to that era of X comics, so I suspect I’ll save my money.

I'd love a new gray suit Black Widow. I still use the one with the leather jacket as the Widow in my display and passed over the Target exclusive Widow because of it. So getting the best of both worlds and getting the gray suit with articulation upgrades would be awesome.

That cover with her, Capt, and Wolverine is so iconic, seems like an easy fit into the theme of the wave.

We're just so different, I'm worried this relationship will never work!

I hadn't thought about it being a comic Yelena as BW - that would be great. The Toy Biz chase is the only comic version of her they've ever made, right?
 
Hmm. If BW is Yelena in her original look, I might be tempted. I think the only thing I've read with Yelena as BW was the Grayson/JG Jones mini, which I enjoyed. That might be enough to get me.

That was her a few years ago in the BAF wave for the big Serpent Society guy right?

Yep, I liked that last Yelena figure but not coming with an "un-goggled" head was kind of a letdown. Nice versatile figure otherwise, though. Various head swaps on that body can easily represent several different characters.

Feral will likely be the only must have for me from this wave, just like ROM was for the last one. I'll almost certainly buy Rachel, though. Yelena is likely. Surfer only if he's a nice pinless, chrome version. Beast is unlikely but possible if it's really done well as I do like Astonishing X-Men, but I've just never loved that version of Beast. Daredevil will be a hell no, as I wait on the Secret Wars version or just stick with the 3-pack version I have now.
 
If it is a Shadowland Daredevil, I'd be curious which body they went with, and I'd like the Secret Wars version revealed ASAP :)
 
I didn't pay much attention to the first mini comic wave, but were the figures tied into famous covers or just "whatever worked?" If we're going by covers, I would guess the most famous cover featuring Beast is the Amazing Adventures with the gray Beast. There's also crying Beast from the New X-Men era and the alt from X-Men #1. If that isn't a concern they could obviously find a cover for any version of the character they make (including a human version), those were just the first images that come to mind.
 
So Feral and Rachel are obviously instant purchases.

If its a new take on a daredevil I'll be in.

As others have said if Black Widow is short hair, grey suit, no jacket I'll bite. If it's first appearance costume I won't be able to resist. If it's first appearance Yelena I'll probably pick it up. Hard to imagine them selling me on another black costume Natasha.

I love Beast and there's alot of ways they can take this that will have me eagerly buy in. Hopefully its not a huge let down.

Silver Sufer is the one I have a hard time imagining being interested. I find the character frightfully boring and visually uninteresting. I have lots of good Silver Surfer figures. What could they pissibly do with him to entice me?
 
I really like this wave, if accurate, although my wallet doesn't. If Shadowlands Daredevil... man, I LOVE the old version but butterfly joints and better ROM I can't say no. I'm really happy with the previous Surfer options, would need something really cool to make me jump right in. Rachel is a no hesitation buy no matter which look, Feral sure of course a first-time character, and we really do need ANY other variation of Beast. The big blue is great but he's had so many variations over the years.

Would love gray Nat with no bomber jacket, but there's a few looks for her I'd like.
 
Are we really thinking this wave comes with three females and no Spidey-universe character? That would be awesome if true, but Feral definitely feels like a character who would be better in a BAF wave.

At least no Wolverine!
