Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

One of the Mythic Legions designers is at Fan Expo at the e-collectibles booth. I didn't retain the name. It was a big day.

Anyway, some notes:

Maybe goblins on the new body? Cryptic body language, suggestive tone.

The dragon has no declared year of delivery for a reason. Settle in.

The next Legions wave is hopefully end of the year, before February, definitely before the zolacon.

No reissues of Hadriana or the other female knights planned. No plans for the specific Hadriana/Averona body at the moment.

New direction with the new story is going to dictate everything going forward. The D&D approach like this recent wave is the way forward narratively.

They are committed to cosmic Legions. Mythic also had a very slow rise. Cosmic is more difficult to figure out and appeal because sci-fi is a lot less ... I called it tolkienized than fantasy. You know what I mean.

I suggested they meet in the middle and do a shadow run wave. Notes were taken.

Anyway, don't quote me on any of this because this was a real conversation that happened but who knows what the future holds.

Thanks for the details. I bet we don't see the dragon til 2028 or later. The bit about Hadriana is frustrating but I did just get a half-decent deal on her used and out of the package after months of looking, so I feel less guilty about spending that money.

I dig the adventuring party idea going forward. We'll get fewer waves that are overloaded with the same theme (oops all knights, oops all skeletons) andi I think at this stage they'll benefit from the variety.

I'm dying for that dwarf/barbarian pack to arrive, but I could also use a damned breather. I guess I appreciate the slow arrival time. More time to enjoy these knights I suddenly have all over my office.

I'm hoping my enthusiasm for the Oxcrewe kicks up when they're in-hand. I've definitely fizzled on those two waves, which I ordered because I was on a plastic high from the wave before.

I’m not in any hurry for the dragon. He’s bought and paid for and I’d rather see it come out amazing than quickly. It’s so big and unprecedented that I imagine it’s going to take some time to complete. Plus I need to figure out where he’s going when it arrives

I have to admit Cosmic hasn’t pulled me in yet. I got a gray born the other day as my first figure in that line and he’s impressive. I’ve got more grays coming with the head packs and a couple of snakes Cobra is recruiting.

The Einsamall wave pulled me in for an all-in for the first time in years so that switch up on the wave styling seems to be working.

Stoker definitely depicted him as a fiendish, evil creature barely masquerading as a human.

Fresh Monkey’s Monster Force version is serviceable as a “youthful, in London” Dracula, but still waaaaaaay too conventionally “handsome”.
(I love the figure, don’t get me wrong)
Honestly Eggers’ Nosferatu is closer to what Dracula should look like than 99% of more conventional portrayals, just more hair, less rotten and more overtly bestial. Last Voyage of the Demeter stripped the hair away (and the clothes, ha ha) but was also more in the spirit of the novel.

I am so, so soooooo not in a rush to get it. I fell victim to D&D-nerd fueled FOMO and while I am sure it will be beautiful, I need time to like, BUILD A HOME for it or something. 4H, take all the time you need. Wait til after the next election. I am so fine with waiting.
I'm glad to hear they aren't pulling back on Cosmic because I still have empty spaces to fill in my Cosmic ladies display cabinet.
I'd love to see them do more lighter-armored characters. The tanky boys and girls look great but I want some scoundrels.

Agreed! I like the Monster Force version, but I still crave a truly fiendish, Stoker-based figure of Dracula. I love the novel, and have long wanted to see more accurate depictions.

Samesies!
And “ha ha Ace is obsessed with Dracula” is a fun running joke that I love but seriously, yes I am actually *obsessed* in an “intense neurodivergent special interest” way with that book and that character and I’ve waited all my life for someone to go hard at the novel’s description in action figure form. I made SO MANY CUSTOMS as a teenager. Sooooo many.
