Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

Yeah, I’ve only gotten back into ML over the last year or so. Getting Sir Elijah in hand really sold me on the new knight body. Now I’ve got a half dozen of him and waiting for Enoch to arrive tomorrow to lead them. My plan is for them to be fighting the dragon… whenever he ships haha.

Sounds like the last couple months of this year could be crazy. We’ll have the next Halloween Figura Obscura in just a couple of weeks most likely and the next Graveyard offering likely in October. Plus all the stuff at Legions Con in November and then Figura Obscura wrapping up the year with the Christmas release (Ghost of Christmas Present, unless they shake things up).
Oh no, you're right with the holiday stuff. their Halloween figures have been some of my favorites in recent years (says the guy using the pumpkin head as my avatar photo) and I absolutely adored Christmas Past last year. Picked up the skeleton graveyard set and they've been SO fun to use for different "hero fighting a hoard of undead" photos, so I'm hoping for something equally interesting this year. Wonder if they'll do zombies this year?

And yeah, Elijah is just a great figure, especially when paired with Enoch. I have the old generic Templar and if you don't look too closely, the rubber tabard isn't too distracting compared to the soft goods ones with the other to knights.

now that the imp scale has been revealed, I'm crossing my fingers we see some Santa's elves, maybe a reindeer.

Though another Ghost of... is more likely.

Man, I had forgotten about the F.O. releases. Can't wait to be surprised.

I was just checking on how screwed I am with preorders all arriving in September and noticed that the green snake shaman from BBTS is supposed to arrive 4th quarter of 2025. How likely do we think that lil guy ships on time? I'm not in a rush but that just feels ambitious for 4H. (I really wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer for him, though they really do a great job making their snake people paint apps pop.)

If it’s anything like last year’s retailer exclusives, we won’t see them until after the first of the year. No new tooling helps keep them more or less on track but I think Figura, Legions Con exclusives/armory, and the Cosmic waves are keeping their factory busy throughout the remainder of the year. I haven’t heard Jermey give any updates on the retailer wave so I assume it’s still a bit off.

I can't wait for that guy either. But I would bet a whole lot we don't see them until early 2026. From Source Horsemen:

Every time I see him in my preorders list on BBTS I realize how much I'm looking forward to him, but I'm well-trained to have patience with FH, definitely wouldn't be surprised if he ships after the holidays.

Dracula would really complement last year’s Frankenstein. They’ve always been a natural pairing when it comes to the books to me. I just don’t know if that would offer anything different enough for them to go there. They’ve done a bunch of vampires in ML already.

That said, if it’s not Dracula this year, the only other guess I have would be something cryptological. They did list that for Figura Obscura in the Graveyard skeletons pamphlet and we’ve yet to get a figure that is in that category so that felt more like a hint for a figure this year. Bigfoot seems like the lowest hanging fruit but there seems to be a surprising amount of Sasquatches coming out soon between BBTS and Loose. But the same thing happened with Krampus and the Horsemen were just ahead of the curve on that one.

The Jersey Devil might be another possibility given they’re located in NJ. That’s one that certainly isn’t over saturated and could be a unique offering.

They have also teased we might not be getting the Ghost of Christmas Present this year (maybe to give people that aren’t fans of that beat a chance for a Christmas figure?) so there could be a Yeti there if that’s true. I hope not. I want to complete Christmas Carol before they do something different for that slot for fear of not getting the full set of ghosts (and hopefully a Scrooge).

Yeah, if they were going cryptological you'd have to think they'd keep it close to home with the Jersey Devil.

I feel like if they tackled Dracula, they'd focus on something more monstrous than what you'd expect a Dracula figure to be. And like Buttmunch said, they've done so many vampires.

They easily could do a Dracula as the novel described him, with both old and young heads to swap out, and still have monstrous elements. There are a ton of Drac figures out there, but none have really gone for how he is described in Stoker's novel. Most people tend to think of Legosi or Lee (or maybe Oldman) when they hear "Dracula", but Stoker definitely depicted him as a fiendish, evil creature barely masquerading as a human.

The fact that the 4H have already done a bunch of vampires doesn't negate it either...if anything it makes me want it more, as that just leads to possible customs that could really be amazing.

Having said all that, if they go the route of a Jersey Devil, I'd be quite interested. I can also see them doing a Mothman using that Cosmic Legions bug alien guy for parts (this is assuming they would go the path of depicting Mothman as buglike, rather than birdlike).

Got my selection of All Stars from BBTS today. Loving the skull set. Totally stole the idea from Jermey but the gorilla skull on the Turpiculi body with the bone wing set is pure nightmare fuel. I love it! Those bone monsters are great.

Thorassis has a great look to him and Enoch is the commander my Templars have been waiting for. The whole Necronominus beat has been some of their best MLs in a while for me. I had largely gotten out of ML for a few years after selling off the first two kickstarter figures but man have these pulled me back in!

I wonder if they'd do a halloween Werewolf so soon after revealing one for the most recent wave. Super easy parts reuse there.

Man, their Frankenstein really is incredible, isn't he? Grotesque and mournful all at the same time. Reminds me I didn't order the green skinned one because I was so happy with the first version, but now I'm thinking I'd like to have both.

Speaking of Dracula, I've been meaning to do a reread, was thinking i'd do the audio instead, and only just now found out there's a version that has Alan Cumming and Tim Curry (and a narrator I really like Simon Vance) narrating it. Immediate download. Free with an audible subscription if you have one. Haven't downloaded an audiobook that fast in a while.
