One A Day 2.0: Day #163 - Maximus Boltagon

Day One purchase for Griffin as depicted in the Handbook entry or Marvel Team-Up cover. Agree he would make sense as a genuinely awesome BAF or MTO. In terms of MTO, I wonder if there's a way to include limbs/legs and an extra head to convert him to the more animalistic form ridden by Namor in the Savage Land ? Would they then be able to sell the character to both sides with some people picking up two to display both ways ?
Definitely like the idea of it being a MTO with the parts included to switch between a more animal form and biped form.

Day #107 - Modred the Mystic

Would I buy? YES!
Which version? Classic handbook

Baron Mordo, Dr. Druid & Modred the Mystic 3-pack please!

From my prime reading days, but a character I'd have to think about whether I really need at this point.

... aw, who am I kidding? Beamish got me with the "Marvel Chillers" and "Avengers" covers.

I'd think Griffin would have to be either a BAF or an MTO to get made properly. Not sure I'd have the room for him, but...maybe.

I'd likely get Mordred. We need more mystical characters in the line.

Oh man... I so vividly remember buying that Avengers 186. It came out in the summer of 1979 - it was the year my mom took a sabbatical from work and stayed home with us kids for the summer. I don't remember why we were there but I remember getting this book at the Hospital gift shop and being so happy. My little sister got some silly trinket and the other two kids that were with us got candy bars, but my treat was the comic book. I was such a mark for John Byrne art... and it was a fun story, though a multi-parter so I had to search for the surrounding issues.

So for sure, absolutely, YES to Modred the Mystic in Legends. Preferably exactly like he looked on that Avengers cover.

First day available purchase for Modred the Mystic. Loved reading that comic and story arc as a kid. There was so much cool content to that story. Agree Byrne art as inspiration and make sure the costume has the artwork level of accurate detail. Would be cool if he could be flexible enough to try and recreate that sitting pose on the cover. If they do him, he definitely should come with a Book of the Darkhold accessory. Also would be on board for "Sorcerous Three" boxset idea of pairing him up with Dr. Druid and Baron Mordo. Maybe even include Jennifer Kale for some female representation and a slew of magic effects.

No to brain, gobllin. Yes to Griffon if it is done well. ( What style feet do you guys want? There are 4 different ones there in the classic panels lol. I would go 3 toed).

Yes to mordred if done well. We are gertting deep enough unless it is one of my main wants I won't buy it unless it is done well. Like you know, including calf swivels on an already differently tooled piece- ala the Savage land ladies who have boots but no swivel.
