He was just OK in GI Joe. His Roadblock acting was the same as any other acting he's ever done in any other action movie. He is in my top two of all time favorite wrestlers along with the Hulkster (I haven't watched wrestling for 25 years, though so I have no idea what he's up to now). That's really the only reason I'd want a classified figure of him.
Hulk is getting booed out of stadiums because his racist side started showing to the world and they took notice.
I loved those movie figures. I bought a ton of them. I don't think I have the whole run, but I have a nice chunk of them. And the plane with the missiles from the first one. Those were some good toys. So I would take a few of them but I don't think I'd grab all the extra outfits that came out back then. They were like $5 or something ridiculous. At $25 a pop, I'm alot more picky.
But DJ is my fave, I wanna say, sports entertainer. I don't really consider WWE wrestling. AEW is for the most part. So Bryan Danielson is probably my fave actual wrestler. But I've always been entertained by The Rock, even in most of his movie roles. There are some glaring exceptions. I do believe he is a little conceited. And high on himself. But, he also does show alot of love, and alot of heart, and he does alot of good things for people he actually cares about. He's apparently a great friend. And fairly generous. But he also doesn't really put up with shit and wants things his own way. He feels like hes one of those people you see from the outside and he looks like a complete douche. And then you dig alot and find out, yea hes a douche, but hes also really really good to the people he loves, to the point I honestly think he'd give the shirt of his back if they needed it to someone he cared about. That's my take on it anyway.
Channaing Tatum can't really act for shit, but he is hilarious when he wants to be. I thought he was excellent as Gambit, but like, the 90s goofy gambit. His 21 jump movies were fantastic. And most of his roles where he can just joke around and be funny are his best. Like his small part in This is the End. But his other movies like Magic Mike and any romcoms he tries aren't good.
So for a movie set, I'd probably take maybe the mains in their most popular gear. But I wouldn't buy everything, and I definitely wouldn't be getting any variants unless they were really well done. I don't even have more then 2 Snake Eyes figures right now, just because of space and how much they cost. I really wanna grab a Timber set but I don't like the look of the second one and the first one has no sword and shitty weapons.
Also, I would buy any Brendan Frasier figure they put out. I have a hole in my heart because I don't have a figure of him, or of him as Stone (since they used a generic head for the movie figure), or a 6inch Stone in general. I bought the movie one because it was as close as I could get. But he was a huge part of my childhood. I think I've seen all his older movies, except maybe some deep cuts I don't know about. But I always wanted good Mummy movie figures, and he would've been front and center, fighting beside Oded Fehr. The movie figures they made way back when were... bad. I wonder if some Indian Jones movie figures would work as base bodies and then a BF head...
