Yeah I think August now.
 
Peter from Mondo was on the latest YHS podcast/stream. Mentioned they just got some "great" news about the future of the line, that it's exceeding expectations, that Sony is excited by the reaction and "it's opened some doors". They've mapped out all of 2026 and part of '27 as far as figures beyond the four main guys go.

Thats cool. I'm interested to see what they do. But I'm glad the line seems to be a success for Mondo. They are great looking figures.

This is terrible news. I don't need them waving beautiful figures in my face past the 4 Ghostbusters and Janine and getting me all hot, bothered, and tempted.

Oh, man. Imma be broke.

Hopefully they do some amazing live action, too!!
 
What is going to really be irritating is when they lock a cool ghost in a 2 pack with a repaint of one of the main ones, glow in the dark or something like that. I don't want any more versions of the main 4 from the cartoon but I would love more ghosts.
 
Wonder how much legs this line will have beyond the main team, Janine, and a Stay Puft. I would not much unless they start releasing new versions of the main team based on some of the Kenner variants.

I just can't do variants for $101 each. Thankfully the coolests ghosts are already planned so there isn't a whole lot I would be too terribly upset about being stuck in a pack with something I didn't want.
 
Are they allowed to make any of the looks from the Kenner Real Ghostbusters line? Like, can they just repaint the 4 that are already coming out, but in the "Slimed Heroes" colors. Or make the Fright Features outfits?
 
On the YHS episode, Peter also said that expectations are too low when fans are getting excited about the packaging for the two-packs making a cardboard firehouse. I wonder if they'd possibly do like Diamond Select and do a build-a-firehouse. I'd be tempted to buy a bunch $100 figures I don't really want to get all the firehouse pieces.

I remember watching the Real Ghostbusters cartoon as a kid, but I can't remember, did Janine show up in the GB uniform with a proton pack in the show?
 
Variants are a hard sell at this price. The one I'd be interested in is the spectral GBs from the Citizen Ghost episode (basically, their movie suits are animated by green spirit versions of themselves). Really hope they steer clear of doing versions based on the toys and just stick to the show.
