G.I. Joe Classified Series

I wonder if they have some internal timer before they'll release characters from a Haslab out of fear backers will get mad that they weren't "exclusive." Can't speak for anyone else but even as a backer, I'd re-buy all four characters from the Dragonfly in other repainted colors, though, so it's a bit silly to do so. (They never released the crew of the HISS but those are SO specific. Took them what, two years to re-release that Cobra Commander?)

And yeah, I want Wild Weasel. I'm super pissed about him. Same as I was with Wild Bill, who I at least got separate for $80 (woof). 😒

Right? Crazylegs feels like a given but I could see Glenda being something special just for the haslab.

Good! And a couple of them have got to be definites, while Wild Bill had some other costumes so he has to be as well.

You're right, but still... aside from Destro (because I'm holding out for the IG version), I feel a HISS crew member is the biggest one missing from my shelf. I don't know what they can do for a retro release to distinguish it enough to keep the haslab version special though. Maybe do the gunner in tactician colors? I dunno, but I'll take whatever.

Agreed. Nightforce is probably cooler to me, but regular would be almost as good.

I'm realizing that for each successive Haslab release, I've wanted the vehicle less, and the figures more. I'm only a little mad that Baroness is exclusive to the Haslab. Three female Classifieds in 2025 and two of them are vehicle pack-ins?

That's a great point.

I finally set rules for myself with customs and such. For Cobras, I'm open to everything and anything, and custom troopers are perfectly fine. Joes, I'm only doing specialists so no army builders, and the fellas I'm only getting childhood favorites and ones I always wanted but didn't have*. but for the ladies, I'm definitely trying to get more of those, like I put the hat/ponytail/sunglasses part from the Marine Sniper on movie Scarlett for a new character. I got an extra marine body to use both heads as well and added Helix also. So Glenda would be really great, and a lady pilot that will shelf-canonly not be Baroness would also be welcome.

*shit... but I got Wolf Spider. And I have a Halo Jumper with the first Beach Head's head. And my Ghost custom from Modern Warfare. I have already failed myself.
 
Found a lone Frag Viper at Target today. Gave him a nice home. Now I can cancel my BBTS order.

I can't wait for that box to show up in the coming weeks now that my wife is done school (She's a teacher). I'm sure the big question will be where do I plan on putting it.

Night Force is definitely the sub-group that is subtle enough they can most easily swap in for main characters (like if we don't get a second Big Ben or Wolf Spider I'd not be upset) but I reckon everyone should have a main line release.

Y'know... they could make a buck (if inspire some grumbling) if they released the two repaints that lost the backer votes for the HISS. There were, IIRC, two other options that weren't included. I'm sure it'd diminish the "importance" of the vote but really, how angry will people get if they can get the other two versions?

Same. I'm 100% sure they're going to put figures with the Snowcat that will push my FOMO over the edge more than the 'cat itself.
