McFarlane DC Multiverse

I've had almost universally great interactions in my autograph hunting. Now, is it because I'm that much more likable than most people? Yes, yes it is.

Sorry, I don't really have any consolation there.

Two McFarlane items up for preorder tomorrow. Both unknown. Three items up for preorder on Monday. All also unknown. No clue if any of it is DC, but the shit is starting to stack up.

Looking forward to the Multiverse wave.

Guessing one or both of these will cover the Brainiac wave which should (I think?) bring pre-orders up to date with what's been hitting stores.

Hopefully McFarlane will properly reveal the rest of the year at SDCC (though part of me thinks he may want to hold a last surprise or two to drop at the end of the year as well).
 
Well thanks to our bad influence friend Alt on these here boards, I have become completely obsessed with my New 52 Batman dang it. I haven't put him down since I got him. The Greg Capullo head and the long wired cape that every Batman should have make all the difference. Fun to pose and pose and pose. Do I wish he was just a wee bit taller? Yes but I am getting use too the height like I am the light gray. He just looks so cool even just standing in a vanilla pose. Alt and his lousy #$%&*!! stinking pictures........

I also bought this figure based on that conversation, and realizing I already had New52 Supe and lucked out in finding New52 WW so I might as well have the main three properly represented... It's a sickness.

Yes....Yes it is....I need to track down that Superman my self. I passed on him so many times in stores and now regret it. I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet. Any version of her in stores around my area. but on the hunt for her.

As someone who has basically enjoyed Todd’s offerings after my initial period of WTF!, I’m very interested to see if Todd goes out loud or quietly.

Considering they don't start until 2027, the earliest we may see anything is NYTF, and that will be AFTER most major retailers had been shown what's coming so they can put orders in.

Maybe, but they showed the kids’ line @ NYTF, which was about 3-4 months before they could release in stores. I think there’s at least a possibility of them showing something.
Either way, kind of excited to see what Todd shows @ his last SDCC with the DC license. Would love to see the Absolute figures, as well as the Neal Adams & Kelly Jones Batmans.
 
I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know how all this contractual stuff works. But in 2020 when Todd first took over, it almost sounded like he was forbidden to show anything prior to 1/1/20. I guess it depends on how the contracts are written this time around. I also think that Todd might have a little wiggle room as he’s not a public company. Mattel might also make it “worth his while” with a “contribution” to his “ favorite charity” to let them drop a few reveals. Whatever.

Honestly, I won’t be surprised or disappointed either way if we see some of the collector line or not. The core line is interesting enough. I just wanna see a female, an outlier, and a non-Bat villain. However, outlier means something different in the core line. An outlier is a non JLA character. Dr. Fate, Cyborg, etc. Not asking for Loose Cannon in the core lineup.
