G.I. Joe Classified Series

Honestly, I was just about to revive the photo thread because I was informed we can directly upload pics via Tapatalk and wanted to repost my Dreadnoks vs. Aliens pics from a while back that Instagram borked. (Got some Predators coming this week I plan on having Recondo, Beachhead, and Roadblock need to deal with if I can find the right backdrop to give it a jungle feel. Though I do have a city backdrop, so maybe I swap in Alley Vipers and Shockwave instead?)

And... what planet have I been on that I didn't know there was a Beachhead/Quick Kick two-pack coming up? I will never not buy a Beachhead variant.

I updated these, apparently that one is going to be Desert Scorpion. The Steel Corps Sentry isn't known where it fits yet.

There's just something about having two of an army builder that makes them special. Having said that, display-wise, three is kind of the sweet spot. Although, four in a squad seems realistic. You probably want a backup in case one breaks, so five is a good option. Squads of six aren't that uncommon, either, ya know?

Kind of a neat tip regarding the Stinger or customization in general, I was watching this youtube video and they noted that you can use a 1/8th drill bit to make holes for inserting backpacks. I haven't gone wild with it yet, but I did drill a hole on the front-left of the Stinger, just like in the video, to place an Officer's rifle holster on the front. I think it looks neat! Now hold my beer as I drill holes everywhere and stuff every spare backpack onto it...

Crimson Viper with Deluxe Snow Serpent's bazooka feels like a perfect match with this vehicle.

Sorry for the huge post but had to comment, I'm so glad the Retro SE's flashbangs are making a return with two-pack Beachhead. Love those things. His red backpack also pops like crazy.

But no, I actually get what you mean. Since I've made all my troopers and officers unique, and armed my four Vipers to be distinct members of a fire team, my only real troop builder is the CG, of which I have two and having them flank CC is so cool and, I agree, special.
 
Meanwhile, the Stinger has sold only 36% stock at Amazon under the $69.97 price. Will it go lower?! I refresh that page almost as much as the What's New one here.
 
It’s weird because this is the first time in a while that we don’t have leaked prototype parts to match to upcoming releases.
 
I honestly think that trio of vipers was a perfect multi-pack - two grunts and an officer. I ended up buying a second set because Amazon had it super discounted and I'd had three dud hips, wanted to try my luck again. so now I have too many vipers. Buuuuuut the second trio was like 45% off or something.

That Night Force Beachhead looks like he's wearing an ugly Christmas sweater and I love it. That whole set is delightfully hideous. 10/10 will preorder.

I have the same damned story. I was cool with two grunts, then got a second set and sold off one Officer. I also have a Crimson Viper to be the Commander, with the officer being their squad leader.

Haw! you're right. I keep trying to talk myself out of getting it but I probably will. The Walmartness of it is my biggest hurdle anymore.
 
I always loved that ugly Night Force deco for Beach-Head. And that Quick-Kick is amazing. That green Oni mask head is going in the ninja/samurai parts pool to be distributed along with various extra Budo/Slice&Dice parts to make more martial arts wackos.
 
Head canon: nobody will tell Beachhead how ugly his uniform is, and he doesn't know what they're laughing at. He thinks he looks great.
