McFarlane DC Multiverse

I’d be in for the female characters, and possibly Reeve Supes and Ra’s.

But honestly, as we get closer to the end, I might be waking up from the McFarlane fugue state. Having a couple of 6” Mattel Core figs in hand has reminded me I’m always going to default to that scale.
 
I'm about done with the line overall, but am hoping those Batman '89 comic figures are still coming. Hope we hear news of them soon, as I really want a Billy Dee Two-Face.
 
Got the latest Bat-wave from the McF store.
Deadman Bats is a deeply weird figure. Hush body/head with a new soft-goods collar. Fine for what it is.
Nu52 Bats is inferior to the version that came with the glider, as far as I am concerned, but the colors do match inks of the time. I like this fabric they use for the cape.
AzBats looks stunning in this accurate colorway. Great figure made better.
My pick of the wave is DKR Bats. The bold colors are spot-on to the source material, the big giant idiosyncratic Bat-logo is great. Looks great, this body has good-for-McF articulation and build. I dig this guy A LOT.

No comment on golden age Batman?
 
The fact McFarlane will be the only Absolute figures for the big three must be kind of daunting. Everyone will be after them if they are that good.

Wish he had time for an Absolute Flash and Martian Mindf—Ker.
 
Interesting that they're doing a regular Absolute Batman and an Elite Edition ($60) version.

Hopefully the Ra's isn't just a repurposed video game version like Grundy was.

From the top group, I'll probably get the 4 Absolute figures and Kryptonite Batman and skip the other 4 Batmen.

From the Page Punchers, I'll get the Lanterns and skip Batman/Joker.

I'll get all 3 Collectors Edition figures.

I'll skip all 3 theatrical version figures.

I'll only buy Bats/Ra's if it's a true comic Ra's.

I'll buy Kung Lao / Shung Tsung singles, skip the 2-pack.

I'll likely buy both Spawns and skip both Elite Edition figures.

I got him waaaay before the rest of the wave, I think I wrote about him a few pages back?

He’s great, probably my favorite Batman in the whole line, love how “vintage” he feels with the graphite grey/black and the ultra-retro logo.

Sigh, I know that’s probably what’s going to happen, which is a bummer since this is our one shot at a comic style Ra’s in this line. Iconic moment? Yes. Worthy of a two pack? Definitely. OK for the only representation of comic Ra’s in the line? Nah. Too niche.
But yes that is probably what they are gonna do.
