I'm just having fun with my autistic people read, they all get me product I want so I don't care what they do past that. It's working.

Yeah, a few years ago I was visiting NJ with a friend for him to clear out some storage. He pulls the U-Haul truck in, I follow in the local rental car. I hop out, take off the gas cap, lift the nozzle from the pump and get a chorus of "No! No!" from a couple of people coming across the pad. Had to sheepishly admit that I wasn't from the area and had never had to get fuel. They glared at me the entire time they were pumping. Otherwise, really enjoyed the state.
 
Here in Ontario it has been self serve for I can't remember how long. However it has been only relatively recent to have to pay before you pump. It was implemented around 2023/2024. Before that stations still allowed you to pump gas and then pay. Now it is only independent stations where it might still be a pump then pay situation. Though I haven't seen one in a long time.

As for bagging groceries, the only place I go to, that I am aware of, that does that is Costco. I like the extra bit of service but I find most of the time they do a terrible job of packing the cart. I usually end up having to move stuff around while exiting to make sure stuff isn't damaged or crushed.

Oh and I am a bit embarrassed to admit I didn't know until last year that the dash has a little gas pump symbol with an arrow pointing to the side of the car where the gas cap is located. :eek:
 
Got Zap. I agree with whomever posted (apologies for not remembering--even this thread flies too fast w/non-toy talk, lol) about he and the original 13 just being spectacular, I don't find them boring at all. These guys are my base and the other guys and gals are better sprinkled in for spice occasionally.
