General Marvel Legends

I feel like the pack-in Jeff we already have will suffice for me, so I can skip all the Rivals stuff. Hope to see Doc Samson from the Hulk line and Mole Man (or whoever else gets that manhole cover).

Marvel Rivals as a fall program would be a nice breather in the days of spiraling costs but also might be the final straw that starts a Civil War.
Indeed. I find that much of the disdain I once had for MCU figures is now being replaced with disdain for "Gamerverse" figures. I'm 50 freaking years old, I haven't played a video game since the 90s. LOL!

However I also remember last year saying that I would only get Shuma/Gargantos and then of course went on to buy every single figure from that Gamerverse program.... However if this wave is stylized in a manner to match the Rivals game then those figures are far less likely to be able to be flexed into a comic display.

I hope the MCU reveals will be Elektra and Gambit and any remaining D&W figs. This second wave is great but those two are NECESSARY NOW!!

Or a new D+ wave. Oh, it's probably Born Again figs. Black DD, Bullseye, someone else. Hey, maybe they'll also be an overpriced, Pulse exclusive 4-pack!

I definitely have somewhere around 50 Wolverines (or other Logan variants), between Legends, Mafex, One:12 Collective, and Revoltech. I'm not proud of it. My X-Men Legends spreadsheet says I have 332 unique figures, but that doesn't count preorders that have yet to arrive, figures where I have multiple copies (like my multiple multiples of Multiple Man), X-Men from other lines like the above, the smattering of non X-Men Marvel characters I have, or my relatively sizable Black Series and Mythic Legions collections. I'm probably hovering around 1000 figures?

There's a first time for everything.
Both Secret Wars polls are ready to go with one hilarious exception: one of the characters that made one of the polls could be revealed tomorrow from the rumors/leaks.
So I'm just gonna hang back and put the polls out tomorrow.

TOYS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE FUN!

I love that the fan stream is at 11am. I will be sitting at my office desk eating lunch in my office watching the fan stream on my work computer. Life sometimes is soooo hard.....on a side note if they are doing figures based on the rivals game I will probably pass on them. I'll just take it figure by figure. All the Gamerverse stuff easily fit into a comics display so I still need a lot of those. Hopefully there is at least one wave of straight Comic book figures before the MCU takes over the 2nd half of the year. Oh and glad Dwight is still on the team. That would suck big time if he wasn't anymore.

I've cherry picked Gamerverse figures, especially if there's potential for seamless crossover with 616 or MCU designs. I passed on most of the Spider-Man figures from last year. I have zero familiarity with Rivals, and wouldn't recognize them if they didn't have a label. But if they're GOOD figures, with designs that are close to iconic, I wouldn't rule them out.

I haven't played Rivals for the same reason I haven't played Fornite, Overwatch, Dead by Daylight, Halo, or any of those MMO games- my skill levels lie with single player games, so I would suck something terrible and get pwned (do people still say pwned?) by people far more skilled than I. Plus I'm just a cheapskate and don't wanna pay for the online.

That said, it looks pretty fun, and I like some of the designs. It may be a line I'd cherry pick, depending on the character and how they translate to a little plastic person. It's just fun that we're getting them at all; not that there was any doubt they'd sell, but it's nice to see Hasbro still venturing out a bit and trying new things after all this time.
