G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #207 - Red Shadows Trooper (Red Shadows)

So I don't NEED Red Jackal but you all know how I feel about Destro. I haven't pulled the trigger on BBWS's version but I'm probably getting any Destro variation Classified puts out.

Baron Ironblood... man, they'd have to work hard to make a character look more like Nazi. I don't mean that as a knock for a villain because how better to tell you this guy's a villain than make him OBVIOUSLY evil, but not one of those characters I have a ton of nostalgia for. Buuuut sure yeah I'd flesh out the villain roster with him, why not.
 
I find the whole Red Shadows thing interesting, it's like if all I knew of DC comics was everything Post Crisis and then learning about Earth 2. It's such a strange alt world for Joe. I pre-ordered one of the figures from BBWS, but I would so be down with Hasbro bringing them into Classified officially, maybe as a rival terrorist group that Destro first got into the shady side of things with first.

And I love that big ole' ugly black helmet, reminds me of Lord Buckethead in the U.K.

Sometimes a helmet is just a helmet.
I like the idea of Ironblood as a separate character, and. In my head cannon that’s how I’d utilize him. Either a whole separate faction, or maybe Bariness’s father.
In any case I don like attaching him to CoCo historically.
 
Again if Classified released Baron Ironblood I would get him. However no attachment and that helmet is terrible. I usually don't mind ridiculous looks for Joe characters, and outside of the helmet Baron Ironblood has a good look. It is just the helmet completely ruins the look for me personally.
 
Figured out what I like about the Red Shadows thing - Cobra look like villains, like they look like 'we are bad guys,' but Red Shadow go full fascist fashion, like these guys show up at the bad guy party and all the Cobra guys, who are mostly in it for profit or power, meet these guys over drinks and Xamot turns to Tomax, takes a long sip of his drink, and says "brother, we are bad men, but these guys, they are okay with genocide." Or Baroness finishes a conversation with one of their leaders, smiles fakely, then turns her back on him, makes eye contact with Destro and is like "WTF" with a silent expression.
 
We had Destro and CoCo. So this would be Major Bluud then?

Irregardless, I’m not opposed to seeing this done, but they’re not a priority for ke. I like the Red Shafows as its own separate faction.
 
Yeah, I would be cool having the Red Shadows as a separate group, like the Iron Grenadiers, rivals to Cobra. Like has been said already, so evil that even Cobra people say "gawdam".
 
it would bring in that touch of realism, where there’s more than “one terrorist” organization in the (Joe’s) world, and just like the real world, those factions don’t necessarily get along with each other.
 
You might be able to get me to add a few guys like whatshisfuck up there, but really I have zero interest in the red shadows, black shadows, grey shadows, action guy super team European bullshit.
