U.S. Politics

MA is an open carry state and boy howdy would I laugh my fucking ass off if some ICE Nazi fuck gets his head blown off putting his hands on the wrong pissed off Bostonian.
I don't like to be like "my state is so good at XYZ" or whatever, but I've lived a lot of places and there is no place I've been more capable of withering disrespect and a complete lack of fear of authority than MA. The dumbest guys I know can insult a grown man enough you can watch their balls fall down their pant leg and roll away. Only city I think that will outdo Boston will be Philly cos they throw batteries at people on their OWN SIDE.

I wouldn't be surprised to see similar protests start popping up here in NY as well. There's been a few smaller ones (if there's two things NYers love, it's protests and parades), but nothing quite to that level. We've had ICE showing up more and more here lately; the super sweet older woman who works at the Dunkin a block from where I live, who always gives out free donuts and asks how people's days are, was taken by ICE a few weeks ago. God, it broke my heart.

And don't forget- at the end of this horrible week is that monster's birthday. We're all gonna have to acknowledge the day that piece of shit was shat out and watch as he throws a military parade in his own honor, all while innocent civilians are getting arrested, attacked, and/or deported. The only silver lining there that I can see is that maybe some folks have forgotten that fact, and the very sight of it will spur even more protests that will finally lead to some change.

Jim Wright had a great (well, grim, but well-written as always) post this morning about how the troops sent in are damned if they do, damned if they don't, and how in one single act Trump could undo 20 years of the US seeing the military as cool (casual camo sold at Target, guys growing their beards out to look like they served, etc. etc. ) and completely flip the switch back to the nightmare troops faced during Vietnam being despised when they came home.

I don't think anyone is special. Every human being is their own person, in uniform or not. You make your choices and take your chances with fate, whatever decisions you make, and every soldier on the ground in LA will make their individual choices. Codes of ethics, humans prove time and time again, aren't magic, they're a gentlemen's agreement that only holds up as long as both gentlemen agree to maintain the terms.

But will Republicans, conservatives, who have leveraged and vastly benefited from this cultural perspective realize, acknowledge, that Trump has potentially set the reputation of US armed forces back by decades, removing a generation or two of good will, all for his ego and agenda? And will the country collectively hold him accountable? I don't think we will. I think we'll end up with an even worse case of US vs THEM. All for no reason at all.

I was having a similar thought yesterday. One thing I do to relax is posing figures, and yesterday, as I rearranged some Joe Classified figures, I wondered if something will happen soon that will get me to get rid of that collection.

@KvHulk anything to contribute or just hiding behind giggles?
His shitty little laugh-reacts are all he has the power to do. Once he starts actually saying his trolling bullshit out loud, he’s cooked. He knows this, which is why his shitty giggling is all he’s got.

It is, of course, utterly fucked to laugh at the suffering of others, but, well, he’s utterly fucked.
🤷‍♂️

Isn't it obvious he's just a punk kid? Pretty soon his Mommy will find out he's been playing with her computer and we won't have to put up with his bullshit anymore.

Whatever this person is, they certainly want to annoy us and control narratives. I could extrapolate about the feelings of impotence that might cause this kind of behavior, but I doubt they could afford my hourly rate.
😁
At any rate, if this spineless little fraction of a human is the worst shitty troll the web can throw at us, we’re doing pretty good.

Hegseth gets cheers when he rails against “woke garbage” at Fort Bragg. No sense of honor can undo 35 years of indoctrination.

If we get through this week without a massacre it’ll be a fucking miracle.

Once one has been conditioned to see a population as “the enemy”, it gets a lot easier to shoot at them. One thing that is *crystal* clear this week is that a fuckton of people in this country have been conditioned to see Los Angeles and those of us who live here as “the enemy”.
