To be... fair.. I guess?... she was in her 20s when she met her husband. So it wasn't a situation where this dude was grooming her from birth or anything. Still gives me the absolute ick, but it's also not all that different from the kind of shit half of Hollywood is up to with all these rich old actors dating 20-year-olds.

Yeah, I'm in my early 40s and I'm around folks in their early 20s all the time and that age gap feels immense. I grant, a lot changes about a person between 20 and 28... getting out of college and into the workforce tends to be one of the last major life transitions aside from kids, marriage, or eventual senescence, but then I add in another two decades of living to my current time and like, how can that not feel like dating a child?

Oh yeah. To me it still runs up my spine. Also in my early 40s, women in their 20s seem like kids to me. Also, a 32-year age gap? What exactly do you have in common to bring you together? You have basically no shared experience being generationally so far apart. Like, when he was our age, she was fucking 11. It's gross no matter how you slice it.

The only defense that I think is appropriate here is to not be hypocrites, because the Left CAN be bad for zeroing in on conservatives; this exact issue that everyone is talking about is rampant in the music and film/TV industries as well. Loads of celebrities are dating/marrying women far younger than them and we just kind of write it off as 'oh, that's just Leo being Leo.' We shouldn't just decide to be outraged/disgusted because she also happens to be defending pedophiles.

Hard agree. And with her, she gives you so many reasons to be outraged it's really hard to choose. An embarrassment of riches in that category. She defends war criminals, pedophiles, grifters, racists, and dipshits alike.

As you can see -- changing the narrative basically always works on the uneducated (i.e. mostly conservatives). Child sex trafficking victims? Nah, they're not even kids. It's not like they're EIGHT or anything. They're just, you know.. barely legal. And by 'barely legal' we mean 'not actually at all legal.' But they're not KIDS, right? That would be gross. But these were just women that are also very like kids and can pass for being kids, because they're kids. But also they're sluts, so they had it coming. Totally their fault for being trafficked and forced to have sex with old men that they probably LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF. Disgusting whores.

Religion proved that for the last few thousand years. I think we were already good on that one. In case there's any higher being out there trying to throw evidence at us: We're good now. That's enough proof.
