Third-Party Vendor List

Coruscant Customs (Etsy)
Kelleran Beq kit
Tarpals kit
Inquisitor kit (x2)
BB Tech head
Great experience. They even sent replacements when I couldn't get the original to work. Top notch.

GI Trooper Kits (Etsy)
Imperial rank badges
Ozzel head
Krennic head
Clone pauldron
Waterslide decals
Good experience. I cannot honestly rate the decals. Either they were terrible, or I'm just garbage at applying them and I don't know which.

Kamino 3D Facility (Etsy)
Rahm Kota head
Savage Opress head
Saesee Tiin head
Poorly packed. A couple of horns on the Opress head were broke. Seller said he'd send a replacement, then went unresponsive. Other heads were fine.

DD19 Customs (Etsy)
MAFEX Batman cape
Ordered August 14, deliver October 10.
Cape is good and I think he had medical issues that kept him from dealing with his business and that was the reason for my long wait.

Scale Grail (Etsy)
Human brains
Human bones
Really nice prints, but fragile.

Watto's Scrapyard (eBay/Instagram)
So. Many. Heads.
Excellent experience. Sent a replacement head, NQA, when one started to weirdly separate along the print lines. Thinking about it now, it might have been my fault for introducing heat to the piece to try and get it to fit on a ball peg.

Has anyone had any experience with getting shops to also paint things for you? I have less than zero experience when it comes to customs, but I'm looking to finally bite the bullet and dip my toe into getting some custom figures (mostly for the Black Series shelf), but a gray 3D printed thing would always remain unpainted if it was left to me. I saw some place (I wanna say Syndicate Customs?) can paint the items for you, but they're in Australia, and I was hoping for something a little closer.

I also don't mean this in a mean way, but if they do offer painting, which of the shops would you guys say are the best in terms of quality- clean, detailed, etc.? Again- it's all lightyears better than anything I could ever do, but if I'm gonna chip in extra money for the paint, I'd want it to look as good as possible, you know?

You can get painted Heads from Casting Cave. They're fantastic quality imo. They're the only ones I have experience with.

Big +1 for Fahrul Store. I received my first order of three Spidey heads today. Time from placing order to receiving the items was just under two months. Well worth the wait; the work is just so clean and the heads pop onto the MAFEX neck pegs perfectly. Will be putting in a larger order as soon as their store opens back up.

More praise for Fahrul. I have two heads from him for MAFEX Spidey, I'll never ever use the stock heads again. Brilliant work and cheap, downside is he looks to be sold out at the moment. I'd like to get his hand pack.

Toyblockstore would be a good add to the Dioramas. He's the one who made the bathtub Fantasticar, and has some other great stuff (Cerebro diorama, Doom/Odin/Kang thrones, buildings, subway car, etc).

If anyone wanted the Fantasticar Toyblockstore has reduced his price from $400 to $200. He says in his Etsy profile why he did it--he says someone ripped off his design and started selling them much cheaper than he was so he reduced the price of his. Here's what he says about that in his seller profile:

I had to lower the price of a few items like the Fantasticar and Cerebro due to another seller copying the whole designs and posting them for much cheaper -- If you ordered had a car mailed to you from july 20 - june 10th just DM me for a money back rebate or a significant discount.

I'm almost certainly going to buy one now if he's still selling them in a few months, but I'm in the middle of a career change and need to decide whether I'm going to retire, semi-retire, or just keep working before I spend much money. I can afford it in any of those events, but I prefer not to piss off my significant other until I make up my mind and finish my plans for the future.

Hey thanks for posting this! I had seen the reduced price but not the reasoning, or offer of a rebate. It's super generous of him to offer that but part of me feels bad taking him up on it.
