Mortal Kombat Klassic figures by McFarlane Toys

personally, I have held off of purchasing any MK figures the entire time storm collectibles had it.

I held off the entire time McFarlane had it too. Because like a good chunk of other old men, in regards to Mortal Kombat I'm not interested in _anything_ created after 1995.

none of it.

nada after MK3

however...Im getting every Klassic that Todd will make.
 
Ehhhhhh...if I'm going to start another line, and that of Klassic Kombat...I need twelfth scale.

I am so sick of certain properties only being in tenth, and while some can be fudged with twelfth figures, I just can't have a 6" tall Ryu, but a 7" tall Liu Kang.

C'moooooooooon, Storm Arena or Jada...
 
I'm probably only interested in MK II designs. And if they're in a different scale from what Jada and Storm are doing with Street Fighter then I'll have even less interest. I played the hell out of the original MK which made me the most popular kid in the neighborhood because I was the only one with it on Genesis, but those designs are pretty frumpy and not something I'd care to have in toy form. MK II wasn't a game I spent nearly the same amount of time with, but the designs are more refined.

I agree with this, except in regard to Johnny cage, Shang Tsung, and GORO (!)

personally, I'm at peace with the fact that Ken and Ryu are not gonna face off against scorpion and sub zero.

They've never done so in any sort of media, and IMHO the franchises don't even mesh well. The only thing they really have in common is being the two go-to fighting games in the mid 90's.
 
They faced off many times in my backyard via the G.I. Joe style figures back in the day. The ninjas always won.

Ditto.

Well, usually Scorpion and Sub-Zero would abandon the Joes and Cobra to fight their own private battle while Smoke and Snake Eyes took on Bison and a bunch of Cobra soldiers, so Ken and Guile could take down Cobra Commander and Reptile.
Good times. I want Jada to make MK figures so bad.
 
While their large figures' ankles absolutely suck in supporting their size & mass (and being the ankles, any foot peg stands are useless), I would absolutely get McFarlane's Goro (or Sheeva, or Kintaro, or Motaro).

Yeah those would be fun. I’m debating on whether or not I would buy any of the animalities though or if that might take up too much space in the even that Todd releases any deluxe releases for some of the more popular characters. Maybe it’s better to stick with the regular editions?

One thing I really liked about Storm was the accessories were cool. I doubt these will have fatality accessories generally, but I wish they would.
