McFarlane DC Multiverse

Dang, I guess that release is leapfrogging the WW vs set. Has there been any more info released on that one?

Not that I’m aware. Wonder Woman is gonna have to be spectacular for me to buy. No interest whatsoever in Godzilla.

However, I did end up buying Flash/Titano and was hoping for some more DC monsters instead of monsters from another fictional universe. Still time for that I suppose.

Superman/Godzilla was revealed before WW/Gz, so I would expect it to be solicited first.

Walked into a Target yesterday and found the red/black Cyborg Superman chilling on a peg, so I asked him if he wanted to come home with me. He accepted. I also found the "battle damaged" movie Superman and New 52 Superman. They had the deluxe Superman w/Krypto, and the regular movie Superman with plastic cape, but I have deluxe and Metamorpho coming in tomorrow or Wednesday so I passed on them.

For fun, I also picked up the 6 Spin Master movie figures with the Robot 4 build-a-figure. I mostly just wanted the robot, but they were only $10ea so I figured what the hell.

Our local comic con was this weekend, and today I woke up sick. Probably picked up a bug on Friday, before con, but 'tis the season either way lol

I know the prevailing thought on Schreck seems to be that he'll be an exclusive, but I'm hoping it doesn't turn out to be a licensing issue. Or maybe Todd turned him into a BAF.

What do you guys think Zero Hour Superman is? I saw someone say it's similar to the resurrection suit, but if they were talking about the black one then I don't recall him wearing that in Zero Hour. As far as my memory is concerned, he just wore the regular blue/red and had long hair, except for any alternate versions that may have appeared during that MoS issue with all of the Batmen.

Well it seems that Discovery and Warners are breaking up. Movies and streaming under the WB umbrella (along with DC), and news and sports and linear programming going with Discovery. That’s the simplified breakdown. No idea how this impacts any vendors much less Todd or Mattel. Just worth noting. There’s a “ten year plan” for DC. Including big plans for Supergirl. I’m also curious about the publishing side. I still love comics and don’t wanna see the move to digital to print anytime soon.

Zaslav is still in charge.

So Zaslav's solution is to cut everyone's product selection in half? or there will just be 2 icons; HBO for proper TV and Discovery for House Hunters Allegorical?

It will be the Superman buck that's been used for the last half dozen Superman releases and probably every Superman that's released now til the end of the line......with a mullet Supes head.....probably the one from Task Force.

Take it to the bank.

I got movie Superman and Krypto today from MTS. I'll give you the pros and cons.

Pros: Great likeness. Good sculpt and articulation. The wired cape is nice. Krypto. For a standard McFarlane figure, this would have been pretty great.

Cons: Weird clutch hand instead of two fist hands. 3/4 of the face plates are the same. HE. CAN'T. LOOK. UP!!!!

This is a situation where the price plays a huge factor. All of my cons are nit picks, but these are nit picks that should not be there at this price. This figure is $35 dollars. Had this been a standard price, I'd have been over the moon about this figure, but we aren't getting anything for that extra $12 and all of the same old Todd moves. Three of the same face? You know we want two fists, why didn't you do it? Why can't Superman look UP at this price? Flight stand?

I like the figure. I wish I hadn't gotten price gouged to get it.

It’s a digital wave so there’s a chance of a Resurrection suit Platinum.

Maybe I missed something- why are people thinking he's an exclusive now? Was he not on the latest list? Given that McFarlane already produced a Walken figure for Dune, I can't imagine that making one for Returns would be that big an issue, at least likeness-wise. I know most folks probably wouldn't consider him as crucial as the other 3, but I could still see him selling well, especially if he does come with some penguin commandos. I don't necessarily see him being popular enough to qualify as a BAF, but you never know. But as someone who does want a Shreck figure, I hope he's not locked behind any sort of limited availability.

Shreck was not listed in the latest leak list, so yes, that's the reason why our undies are in a bunch over it. No, I do not think likeness is the issue either. Shreck is a bit of a cult favorite which makes him a prime contender for Todd to pull Todd-like shenanigans with the figure. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.
