Masters of the Universe: Origins

Sting-Or looks really cool. And he is a non-Cartoon offering which is always what I like best. With all the amazing, already established characters there still are to make, it really surprises me they are going with a brand new freshly made character right now. But hey, it looks like a MOTU character, and it looks like a lot of fun.

So, I'm in.
 
I've said before - I would be WAY more excited about new characters if they finished the vintage originals. That's it. I'm not saying, and have never said, remake the originals and then stop. But like.. actually remake the originals. I want all the new characters to ADD to the original roster, not replace it.
 
Sting-Or is adorable, the kind of figure that I want to buy regardless of not collecting this line. He's rad, gross, and cute, all at once. Yeah, get him in Masterverse for sure, but if I'm already paying shipping on Mattel's site, he's joining the pile.

Just don't make the GI Joe Classified thread aware of him! They have this thing for scorpions.
 
Ordered Sting-Or but threw in an extra Sharella because the two I got had misprinted eyes and I'm gambling on a better copy, and as I checked out, they threw in an offer for 20% off She-Ra/Swiftwind, NE Moss Man, or Skeletor X Shredder, which is who I picked since I have the other two already.

Yeah that is not a kick in the nuts at all to those of us who paid full price (plus shipping) for She-Ra and Swiftwind. They couldn't wait at least six months before putting her up for sale?

It's a weird sale though, not site wide. It's just offered as an add on to your cart as you're checking out. I don't think it can be applied to the same item if you weren't buying anything else. I think I've seen the site do this before, but it wasn't for anything I wanted to buy. These three items, especially the She-Ra set, would be amazing with a discount.
 
I got Sting-Or as well. But for the first time in a long time, I didn't get the offer to add something else to my order with a discount applied. I never do it anyways since I always get each MOTU product right when it comes out. But it's nice to be offered.

It's crazy though they already offered 20% off on She-Ra/Swift Wind.
 
I hated leaving that She-Ra/Swiftwind offer on the table but I already have one open and one packaged. I had to go with the figure I don’t have yet,
 
I experimented with checking out and didn't get the offer. But I don't have a membership and had one added to my cart so I could try and purchase Stingor. I haven't seen a need to get the membership yet. Sharella is tempting, but she seems to be the only figure tied permanently to the membership. Will just try for Stingor tomorrow when he becomes available to non-members as well.

And yes, Stingor will indeed be leading some Classified scorpions into battle.
 
It's crazy, because rumor is next month's figure, once again, is NOT Dragstor! Son of a bitch!

Apparently, November's figure will be Eldor. Which I will totally get. But we have seen Dragstor, and it has been months since we got a vintage collection character. April was the last one, which was Hurricane Hordak.

Hopefully December is Dragstor, and then we should get Multi Bot from Amazon around January/February.

Yep they are doing a great job of keeping us chasing the red light like a cat. Keep moving it around and we'll chase it. Thankfully for my wallet I have fallen off on Origins to a degree so they can keep doing what they are doing and I'll just wait on releases now that aren't must have vintage characters.
