So Stratos is my boy. He's been one of my top two MOTU favorites. And one of my earliest memories in my entire life was my dad and my best friend getting me Stratos for my birthday, but I panicked because I was like "mom's going to return one of these and who do I betray, my dad or my best friend?" But they had the different wings/backpacks and I was able to keep both, so I've always had a soft spot for how Stratos has the two color setups.

So I, IRRESPONSIBLY, ordered two so I could have them both on display.

He came out okay - my only complaints are some sloppy paint on his face on one of them, and whoever decided to STUFF HIS WINGS INTO A LIL BAGGY needs a stern talking to. literally all the blue wings, two sets, basically are C shaped. I'm going to have to do some work to straighten them out.

Mildly annoyed, just want to shake my head at whoever decided to package them this way, but in the end, I now have the New Eternia and two vintage versions of one of my favorite characters, so I'm happy. But I love that question above about... WHAT IS HE? He's kind of an ape? But he's wearing shoes? He flies, but he needs a jetpack? But all that is what keeps me coming back to MOTU. All of these characters were designed by guys doing recreational drugs in the bathroom between meetings, I am CONVINCED of that, and it makes me love this franchise even more. I would love to time travel back to see how it all came together.

Ha! Same!
And I absolutely had to do a bunch of heating and reshaping of wings, and also immediately paint-thinnered away the awkward beard pant and applied a black paint wash: much better now.

Yeah. He's a good figure, but needs a little work to get there.
 
I got the x2 Startos figures I ordered from Wal-Mart today. Hopefully Man At Arms ships soon too. But I like the Stratos figure. He looks really good, he seems pretty bulky too, and he looks different enough from the New Eternia version to feel worth it.

Still, as nice as these Vintage Collection Masterverse figures look, they still just don't compete with MOTU Classics to me. I always tell myself since I have Classics, I won't buy these Masterverse Vintage Collection figures. I'll just stick with New Eternia and other unique looks for Masterverse. But so far, I have x2 of every Vintage Collection figure, and I know I won't stop now.
 
I tried the alt color gear on Stratos but it just doesn't look nearly as good as the standard version, imo. But it is a neat option for those who appreciate it.

So, MAA was supposed to ship at the end of November and now the product page is down. Does anyone have any conclusions to jump to? Is this common before a figure ships, or is this just another day at Walmart.com?

If it’s down, they could be revising/raising the price. They’ve done that after canceling preorders so they can get you for more money. It happened with at least my Faker and Zodac orders.
 
I’m confused about MAA as well. My order is still there, it still says “arriving November 30”, no “delayed”, just like a normal order that hasn’t shipped. Weird.

Yeah happened to me a couple years ago with a Brock Lesnar Exclusive Elite. They cancelled everyone's months-old preorders at the last minute before releasing it just because they wanted to raise the price a dollar. (y) COOL

same. Ugh, my order was from JULY. Same price as Stratos so who knows what's going on.
 
I found the vintage collection Man-at-Arms on the Mystical Magical Walmart Aisle Display today. Cancelled my pre-order before Walmart could, myahhh! Take that Walmart.
 
Scored Mosquitor and the extra Mantenna I wanted at Target, again on sale for just over $16. Glad I can cancel the Amazon order which had an ETA of February. Mosquitor is cool, with some interchangeable parts for his rifle that can also fit into his stinger. He’s about average for Masterverse/New Eternia. They really didn’t take many chances with this as a redesign.

Your Stratos looks great RicksNerdLife. It looks much better. I just still can't believe we got the Stratos figure. it's a Wal-Mart exclusive, and it shipped and arrived. It's a Christmas miracle. However, I feel like Wal-Mart is about to F us in the A pretty hard with the Vintage Man At Arms. I feel like it's already just setting up to be cancelled.

Now Super Camel is gettin' upset! Serenity now!

Seriously though, I can't believe the smooth transition that was the Startos figure. That's like the 3rd of probably 10 or so Wal-Mart exclusives I pre ordered this year that actually shipped.
