Marvel Legends Two-Packs

Yeah Jesse Falcon needs to stop thinking like McFarlane and making big guy figures bigger than they should be. Gorgon should be around the same size as the new cosmic Thor and that's it. He definitely shouldn't be taller than Champion who is supposed to be 10 foot in the comics.

Its disappointing how big he is.

Yeah, if you look at him on his own, he’s a stellar figure, and everything is in good proportion for a beefy guy.

But he’s like 10-15% too big. Hit him with some Pym particles and he’d be perfect.

Gorgon, if legs extended, may very well be taller than BAF Sasquatch. Crazy.

Having these all together now, there's such a distinct drop in quality for Karnak. He's on that ancient Pizza Spidey body. It's almost like he was planned to be released alongside Barnes Cap body Black Bolt and Wasp body Medusa, because he definitely feels like he's from that era of base bodies. I'm trying to brainstorm a better *shorter* body for him. The Amazing Fantasy Spidey body is around the build I'd want, but very few figures have been released on that so far. Like, I don't even want to consider displaying Gorgon, Triton, Crystal, and Lockjaw with the old Black Bolt and Medusa, but Karnak is just as egregious.

I received these yesterday from EE. I'm opening them slowly, one per day, to savor the Inhuman experience.
Just opened Triton so far and I love him. Nice sculpting of the scales everywhere, and the purple tubes down his arms and legs, great head sculpt on both portraits. He's a very welcome addition to the shelf.
One thing I did notice is that Black Bolt's screaming head doesn't have a powered up antenna. I haven't had the time to check, but I wonder f the old powered up head would fit this new body, and if it would look goo+++++d or out of place.
I like the powered up antenna is all.

So I've had my Champion/Starfox set since Monday and I'm happy to report I am very pleased with both figures. Starfox is a spot on render and an overdue addition to my Avengers display, but the star of this set is definitely my big beefy boy Champ. I'm still flabbergasted we have a Marvel Legends figure of him; I never imagined they'd make him.
I was a little disappointed when I freed him from the packaging because the dark wash on his hair was only applied to the top half of the outer surface, ending just behind his ears. It was as if the prisoner applying it went on lockdown mid application, and was unable to finish.
Anyway, super easy fix. And since I had the paints out, I hit his belt and gauntlets with two tones of gold to maximize the details.
Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic "Bright Gold" and "Greedy Gold" for the mf win!

Now my only concern is figuring out where I'm going to put him.

Karnak is also on a body that is too tall. He is supposed to be like 5'7" and that is with an extra 3" on his forehead. Not that I care about exactly how tall a character is but he should be on a teenage body. That is the whole point of the character; small guy / big whallop. Its the thematic jist of his character and powerset. It really is pretty annoying to wait this long for characters; have them done particularly well and then that one detail be sooooo off. While we are at it Odin is way too big too.

The body for X97 Sunspot is a little guy. If you could swap the loincloth over and do a boot swap and repaint maybe that would work better for Karnak.

Or just put Karnak next to Gorgon in the display so he looks littler. Have those two on one side of Lockjaw and the others on the other side to offset the size disparities a tad.
