JADA TOYS General Thread

So... to be fair. I opened Franken Berry and his arm snapped at the elbow. Trying to swap heads his whole neck came out. Neck went back in and if anyone is going to hold a dismembered body part it's Frank - but you hate to see it.

Come on. We are going to Jada headquarters. I've got torches and pitchforks.

Seriously though, return that and get you a new one.

I've heard that the three cereal monsters are not great, but Chester and Tony demonstrate how much Jada has improved as an action figure maker. Sorry to heat about the broken arm. Hopefully, bbts or Jada send you a replacement without hassle.

@Justice I'd be happy with a slightly bigger Green Giant, too. What about Poppin Fresh? I think he's tiny. Maybe Jada could do two sizes in the pack. One small to scale better with the other characters and one larger. I guess the Cheerios bee has the same issue. Wow, it's ridiculous/awesome to be thinking about the logistics of a Pillsbury Doughboy action figure.

As a lover of all things creepy (and, for that matter, sugary), I've had a strangely strong desire to get the halloween cereal trio for the shelf, if only for Halloween decorations. Not sure I want them to be, but are they still relatively affordable most places? Frute Brute and Yummy Mummy would be fun ones one day too. I don't need Carmella Creeper, per se, but I never turn down a good spooky fig.

If we're talking cereal mascots, I can't say I'd necessarily turn down a Captain Crunch, Lucky the Leprechaun, or Trix Rabbit. Snap, Crackle, and Pop too, now that I think of it. Aw, heck, am I a secret cereal mascot fanatic?

The 3 cereal monsters were discounted at Ross. I think it's worth checking. Last I checked, they were sold out at bbts, probably due to Tony getting folks excited about the line.

As Dan Larsen has pointed out, advertisers in the late 80s and early 90s have broken the brains of us who grew up with the animated commercials (short and long-form) of that period. It turns out these stupid food mascots mean more to me than I want to admit, except on a public forum. I need plastic representation of all of them on my shelf. Make it happen Jada!

Alas, no Ross around me. Nice to know they're selling, though! I really hope the Scooby Doo line has similar luck and can get deep on the roster.

The food mascots I ordered arrived the other week, and I think I've made a huge mistake getting these. I really like all the figures, although Chester and Tony show a clear improvement in quality over the cereal monsters. They are all fun to see on my shelf, and I am excited to buy as many as Jada makes. But, my son is now constantly begging for Count Chocula cereal. It's like they designed these characters to make kids beg their parents to buy a product.

I know it's part of the special appeal of the season, but I never understood why they don't just make at least Count Chocula cereal available year round. It's the clear favorite of the main trio, and they could still release Boo Berry and Franken Berry around Halloween to keep some limited appeal to them. I don't really do super sugary cereals anymore, but even I find myself craving a good ol' bowl of CC every now and then.

I really hope they make Frute Brute & Yummy Mummy. I wanna complete that set! (Plus, I love werewolves lol)

My only complaint about Tony is him not coming with pairs of matching hands. You can't hold the spoon in or spin the basketball with the left hand. You can't hold the bowl in the right hand. It's Mattel or McFarlane crap, lol.

I recall it was, along with the Berry ones, and around 2010 they made the change. But maybe my grocery store was selling me stale product.

It's almost July, and I'm really jonesing for those Scooby-Doo figures. Why oh why haven't we had glimpses of the next batch of figures to be released? I'm guessing SDCC will have some new figures to show. It's gotta be Scooby himself. Any guesses on which "ghosts"? I always loved Elias Kingston because he had a weird Dark Shadows vibe to him, but I know he's not a fan favorite.

Jada is so slow. It's my only real complaint with them. I feel like it'll be forever before we have the gang assembled on our shelves.

I'd love to see some ghosts that didn't come out in the most recent line, so Elias Kingston scratches that itch. I'd also love to see Charlie the Robot.
