Got the Processing Soon email from BBTS for Tony the Tiger. No mention of a surcharge, so either he's in under the tariff wire or they're gonna ask for it once he's for-real in stock. His product page doesn't mention anything about it, though.

Since Tony has been available at Target for a few weeks, I assume the shipment has been in the US before the tariffs kicked in.

Is anyone else excited to have a cereal mascots figure collection? I wasn't initially planning to get any, but the idea of having a bunch of silly, colorful characters on my shelves became more and more appealing. I hope they show off a couple of new characters at SDCC. Has there been any updates on when Fred and Barney will go up for pre-order? I'm guessing the stupid tariffs may delay them getting solicited.

Ha, never thought I would be excited to see a Tony the Tiger action figure drop in my POL. I haven't had Frosted Flakes in years, but they were among my favorite cereals, so at least I can say I'm a fan of the property (I still love cereal and try not to eat it too much).
I just noticed today one of my Targets has the regular version of Chester. I've been going everyday of the workweek hunting SF figures, they may have put him out sometime after Friday afternoon.

Shipped most of my Pile of Loot yesterday, since something has to ship. So of course, Tony the Tiger arrived today. Not a huge deal, since I have a few other items still in my PoL. And Jada Blanka and Sagat are probably going to arrive soon too.

I suspect someone opened the Tony I got from BBTS by peeling the tape back. Unless it was a factory qc check, but that's weird because it's usually a tape slice with a second tape over the first. You ever to put a tray back in a box and it gets caught under the flap? Kind of looks like that too with one of the inner flaps slight bent. Tray tape looked mostly untouched.

Anyways, he's a neat figure. Just like Chester, I think the single joints are a bit scary thin. I need to warm up Tony's knees before I try the articulation.

I wonder if Meijer stores will carry Tony. When they had the Monster cereals figures they were $5 cheaper than anywhere else.

I've had figures come like that right out of a case.

I came across a Tony at the world's best Target in Charlotte, NC (not being at all sarcastic here) while I was there for work this past week so I grabbed him. Got back late last night so I'm about to open him and the rest of my irresponsible financial decisions made on my trip.

My Tony has very loose leg joints. He will only stand if I prop him on his tail. I also don't like that he can spin the basketball on one hand and hold the cereal box in the other.

Best he can do unless I'm missing something very obvious is hold the ball on his flat hand and then the box in the other.

I'm all about the food mascots of my youth. These characters were status symbols for me. All represent things I was rarely allowed. Cereal characters, the Hostess characters, Kips/Shoneys/Bobs Big Boy.

What Target is that?— I was just in Charlotte a few weeks ago and stopped at a Target. It wasn't bad but the self-checkout lanes were closed (at 10:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning) so it definitely did not rank among my best Target experiences.

Edit: It was at 9531 South Blvd.

The one I went to was a Super Target.
