This was one of those mostly-me threads at the other place, but I'll start it here too. First in-hand video of the GxK Shimo figure I've come across so far:

G2000 might be the first one where they've suckered me into pre-ordering both releases of the same figure because I can't choose between the decos!

My Godzilla 91 Hokkaido Godzilla and my King Ghidorah 91 figure are en route but they are taking their sweet time. Even for air mail it’s been about two weeks and I can’t even pin down when their arrival should be scheduled. And Godzilla is definitely the slower of the two in transit. It’s spent 6 days in transit and it just left China

Where do you buy yours? Is the total price much higher than the base price? Because BBTS takes forever to get any of these in. There are at least four that are out in China that I'm currently waiting on.

I ordered mine from INSHobby and got them both for a slight discount but had to pay extra for shipping since they are imported. Over all I think I paid $130 for King Ghidorah and $85 for Godzilla

Hmm. I'll have to see what BBTS ends up wanting for tariff charges. I can wait if the prices are that different. Thanks!

Keep in mind that the prices I mentioned include shipping charges and I’m not sure if BBTS is even expected to get these in until August. And we might very likely see either more delays in overseas goods or there’s always the equal chance that the bottleneck of delays from Hiya could potentially come unstuck and we could see one release after another in short succession. If the shipping schedule for Hokkaido, KG and Evolved Godzilla are any indication…more is definitely just around the corner

Yeah, it's the shipping charges that I'm trying to avoid. 5K Toys was selling the Hiya Godzilla stuff early on, and even with their shipping, they were always a couple bucks cheaper than BBTS. But once they started officially being sold in the US, 5K stopped carrying them, and I'd rather get them for around $50-$55 from BBTS late than from overseas for another $25-$30 early. :)

Keep in mind to that because these are from China they will have a Tariff markup that will be unavoidable now. And Amazon has canceled all ordered for overseas buyers as I understand. I know it all feels like a bit of a poison pill right now and options are limited but just go with your gut. And thank your lucky stars that even with them raising their prices these still don’t cost as much as SHMA or some other contemporary

Right, word so far seems to be that BBTS' tariff charges have been around 10%, but I haven't actually had one of my own to compare against anyone else's experience yet.

Oh well 10% isn’t half bad all things considered. That means a $55 figure is only $5.50 more. Totally workable.
