Just a thread to discuss all Ghostbusters figures and toys.

Mondo just recently showed off their Winston, Rosebud ghost and of course, the Sandman:

I’ve only been preordering the single GBs, but I’m glad they each come with little ghosts too. Just couldn’t get on board for the huge ghosts at these prices.

I think I mentioned on the interim board between the Fwoosh and this one that I think I will just be getting Winston this time. I preordered the last two ghosts but Sandman I think can be a skip. He just kind of looks goofy to me.

Well I'm not skipping any of the big ones no matter what! Well ... tariffs. If they go up like $50, I might rethink my dedication.

I can't justify it either, but I do it anyways because it's one of my biggest wished-for lines and no one's ever done it before or will do it this well again. And because GB lines traditionally flake out pretty hard after getting the main guys out.

I looooove Ghostbusters, but yeah. The price kills me. I had a hard time dropping $400 for the Haslab (but did). I'm happy with my movie figures for the time.

I preordered Venkman and Samhain as Samhain has always been the most memorable ghost from the show for me (outside of Slimer and Stay Puft), but was content to just preorder Egon when he went up with Boogeyman. I'll do the same with Winston as I don't care about Sandman. I love Rosebud though, a reference that went right over my head back when I was a kid, but makes me laugh now. The price on these sucks, but at least they will be the one and only representations for these characters in my collection. I'm curious to see where the 1:12 MOTU line ends up in terms of price. When these were announced at $101-$202 there was talk from Mondo that it was due to the license and that the He-Man line would not be as high. At Wondercon, someone from Mondo (I think it was Hector) was comparing the MOTU line to Mezco when talking about the pricing which, I don't know about the experience of others, I've never bought a Mezco that was less than $100 by itself.

Got an email today from Mondo that Venkman and Samhain have slipped to June (were supposed to deliver in May). The fact that they still anticipate the set arriving in June as I sit here on May 29th is a good sign. I wonder if they paused shipping on them given the tariff situation or if this is just a normal instance of production taking a little longer than expected. Mondo is typically pretty punctual, but with this being the first in a new line I could see them taking a little extra time to make sure it's what they want it to be. Hopefully that extra time pays off.

I got no email. Nice Mondo, very nice.

I was just looking up when Egon was shipping and it said September and for some reason I was thinking he went up for preorder first. Very excited to know I don't have to wait until September for the first figures from this line.

I guess I'm so used to release dates in this hobby being approximate that it never even occurred to me to be expecting Venkman this month.

Mondo is the only one that usually hits the expected release date. They're like clockwork, so this is a mild surprise, but given the state of the world nothing is surprising. And if, as expected, they're changing up their distribution then it makes even more sense. Usually they ship from the factory to your door via DHL, but with the de minimis exemption being lifted for tariffs, it might be cheaper for them to ship to a US warehouse and then ship to buyers. I guess we'll know soon enough.

Ah, I see. Literally the only Mondo figure I have right now is BtAS Man-Bat, and that was a gift.

Oh by the way I learned yesterday that the Real Ghostbusters is streaming for free on the Roku TV app or website for anyone who would like to watch it.
