General Toys on Sale

I visited my Walmart yesterday and noticed that the mid-aisle display was gone and so were all of the figures that were just a week ago. There were dozens, if not hundreds of figures there a week ago that didn't seem to get moved to anywhere else in the store.

The only remnants that I could find were about 20 Marvel Legends retro-card Quicksilvers in the clearance section for $15 each. I expected to see more from that display here, but nope.

All of the rest of the Marvel Legends, GI Joe Classified, Star Wars, WWE and Master of the Universe stuff were just gone from the store. I had been playing the long game on a lot of that stuff so am very disappointed. I wonder if they got sent directly to budget or bin stores.

I went in my local Wal-Mart today and they had the Jakks Pacific The Simpsons 4" Bartman figure for $4. They had a bunch of them too. And I have been seeing all over Facebook people finding the figure for $5 at Wal-Mart. I don't collect toys of The Simpsons, but for $4 I had to buy it. I always like the look of Bartman, and I always remember liking the Bartman figure from the vintage Simpsons Mattel line in like 1990 or so.

This is just in-fucking-sane to me. The Wal-Mart stores I frequent don't ever have 20 Marvel figures in total on the pegs. If the kind of bounty you describe is common I can see why someone might buy in-store as opposed to ordering online.
I need to start documenting the desolation I see whenever I deign to traverse the retail wastelands.

Wow, you saw more in a day than I've seen the past three months.

I did find a Mad Marauders set for $25 at a local Walmart a couple weeks ago and Friday at Ross I was behind a guy in line who had a ML Outrider (I had to look it up the name, the dog things from Infinity War ... ) and ML Black Panther. Myself, I saw nothing in the toy aisle but did find some clearance coffee ...

I'd love to find some ML Outriders at that $9.99 price, but have never seen them and I go to Ross at least weekly. I've also never seen the retro card Cobra Troopers that many were seeing for $9.99. I did pick up a Beach Head and Rock & Roll at one point for that price though.

I doubt this will actually help anyone, but it's too good of a deal not to post. You can get all three of McFarlane's Saga two-packs for $15 (total!) on Skybound's site. They're $5 each individually.

They're among the worst figures I've ever laid hands on, but it's not a bad deal for Lying Cat, accessories, or fodder.
I couldn't pass on these for that price. Izabel "Ghost girl" looks great in my Ghostbusters display. Haven't opened the others yet.
