General Marvel Legends

Is there an official number of Legends releases for 2025 we've landed on yet? I guess a lot could and probably will land before the year is out.

@hmmberto is our resident number cruncher. I expect he can provide a running list with relevant stats.

Legendsverse is the real hero here!

2025: 95 releases listed, totaling 111 figures.

Legendsverse lists several things as 2026 releases that have already hit - Skurge wave, Secret Wars Iceman, and the superclassic excellent amazing 2-packs (Inhumans, Starfox/Champion). If we add those 11 releases/14 figures we end up with 106 releases and 125 figures. I don't think BAFs on their own are included in the figure count, so let's add two for Nemesis and Executioner

Final 2025 count: 106 releases totaling 127 figures.

The numbers may vary since the end of year releases can screw up the count on either end. I'm not sure what the "official" source for release year should be, but that gives us a decent idea of the overall volume.

Congrats Resilient! That's awesome! Here's to many happy years! My only buy this weekend was Secret Wars Iceman. He is definitely my favorite Iceman to this point. This was a heavy year of legends for me and I still don't have everything I want yet. Heavy comic book years are always my favorite. I suspect the next couple years will be MCU heavy so I will being buying less.

That would match 2024. I could deal with ~100 figures per year of more focused releases aka no absolute head scratchers.

Opened up the Mini Comic wave two and Skurge wave figures. After getting some long-requested figures like Skurge, Rachel, and Feral and completing the Mutant Genesis era X-teams, I honestly kind of feel like my ML collection is complete. No, that won't stop me from buying plenty more as they come out, but everything else will just feel like extra for a complete collection.

I'm starting to feel the same way. There are some perfect versions I still want to see before consider things "complete." I'd love to see the Astonishing X-Men wave rounded out, and it sounds like I won't be waiting long. I've posted my wish list a few times in the last few weeks, and after that I would see things as pretty much "done," but excited for the inevitable improvements. A classics Punisher on the new body is a great example. All they need to do is release a black/white Punisher with the Gamerverse head and holsters - you'd never need another one. 100% reuse figure at this point... but when?

This year the ratio of output to things I want is pretty impressive as someone who is only interested in comic figures, and mostly classic looks. I've been trying to track figures by comic based/classic/etc to have a better understanding of what they really focus on. For comic/comic adjacent figures (games and shows) I count 60-odd figures in 2025 that I would consider "classic" vs 20-something in the "modern" category. There's plenty of subjectivity in how to classify those, but I put anything post-2000 as "modern".

Random question for those who also collect NECA: Would the 90s April O'Neill Judith Hoag figure work height-wise for a Lawyer She-Hulk custom? I found one at Ross yesterday and thought the NECA-scale may help, but I can't find any size comparisons online to see. And oh boy are this figure's knees ugly - but that's old news. :)

Are you using her as a human Jen Walters or Hulked up? Because she way to skinny for that, and way too tall for human form.
