Is there a stat on how many figures were released in the first half of the year compared to how many in the second half? Heck, comparing the first three quarters of the year with the current quarter? I feel like the past three months has given us the majority of ML releases. It’s just really lopsided.
Thanks for that. If I have them in hand, they’re not future releases! I count them as the current year.![]()
Marvel Legends Figures 2025 - Legendsverse
Marvel Legends Mysterio,Super-Skrull,Punisher & Nick Fury,Storm,Mystiquelegendsverse.com
They have Skurge and some of the 2-packs listed as 2026 releases, which seems to not be the case so it depends on how things get categorized. But early 2025 had the Genocide wave, the Gamerverse Spider-Man wave and other releases, retro Spidey wave (Kaine et cetera), the Cap 4: BNW stuff, the X-Force figures, Maximum Spidey and Hulk, a bunch of one-off releases…
I am curious which of these releases are officially considered 2026, even if they hit early. Maybe the end of year stream where they rank their favorites will provide some clarity.

The stuff you mentioned like Gamerverse and CA:BNW was ultimately forgettable. I passed on most of the Gamerverse Spidey figures. I liked the retro card wave but it was a mixed bag of less memorable characters for me (Electro and Spider-Boy? Eh.) I loved the X-Force figures but they were redos so they didn’t feel new. Max Spidey was good but Max Hulk was not. But again, I feel like the number of releases in the last three months is still greater than the first half combined, maybe the first 9 months!
Hasbro has done themselves no favors raising prices and then dumping a metric ton of product on us in the past two months. At this moment, the Executioner and Mini Comic waves are hitting at almost the same time, roughly a month before Christmas. That's terrible planning (if there was planning involved in this.) Add in the Classified deluge, Star Wars ...To be clear I think a lot of what they’re putting out right now is great and exciting and I’m certainly not saying it’s destined for mass clearance. There’s a lot of room between immediate sellout and clogging shelves at Ollie’s.
This end of year product flood is exactly what I (and many others here) constantly say we want ML to look like - focused on new characters, finishing teams, figures from our top 10, etc. I want to support the line when it’s making the things I want. But the current state of the economy and the new Trump tax pricing has made me extra conservative with my spending. So, I’m not buying most of what I normally would immediately at release and I’m banking on most of it staying available for a while. I do think it’s likely they’ve continued to adjust their production down in anticipation of lower demand, so hopefully I’m not wrong and I end up chasing all these on the aftermarket next year.
Middle-aged men need Christmas presents too!I am sure the execs still think “release toys before Xmas”. As if the market for these toys aren’t middle age men.
Every year I have a “ooooh I hope this gets here before Christmas” list.Middle-aged men need Christmas presents too!
Just want to agree that what they're putting out is very cool. The economy and price increases are brutal, and a more rational release schedule and I'd be happy as all get out at what is shipping right now. New characters, fun variants, a cool BAF, some deserved improvements, all good stuff. To be clear I think a lot of what they’re putting out right now is great and exciting and I’m certainly not saying it’s destined for mass clearance. I’ve a greater chance of spotting Santa in my house than my wife knowing or caring what Marvel Legend I’d want for Xmas.Middle-aged men need Christmas presents too!
