General Marvel Legends

I mean they are just the pocket flaps on his jacket. I'd be more concerned about the belt being a bit different.

For some reason, your post reminds me of when I made a strawberry and cream jello bundt cake.

...sigh.

*unzips pants*

Got my Punisher/Nick Fury sets today.

Punisher is instantly improved by the SHIELD thigh holder swap, and Nick Fury by swapping on the 3 pack head.

Also, now having this excellent Punisher in hand, it's a bit annoying that we haven't gotten a classic black & white Punisher on this body. Or a single carded Daredevil on the RYVs body. Or a single carded red/blue Spider-Man on the AF body. Whatever model they have to use them to sell lower popularity characters or cheap repaints in a multipack... they need to abandon it ASAP. Pitch forks will be coming.

Man-Spider and Spider-Hulk for me. I still regret selling my originals of these two.

There's quite a bit of the early Hasbro stuff that I'd like to see re-done: Danger, Ares, Hope Summers, Red She-Hulk, Annihilus, Doc Samson, Mole Man, etc, I'd even happily take an updated Harry Osborn New Goblin from the Sam Raimi / Tobey Maguire Spider-Man 3.

Agreed.

And let's not forget these two.

I am a huge Golden Age fan as some of you are aware. And these figures hurt. To this day they make me cry. Rivers of tears. Bitter, bitter tears. An ocean of sorrow. A galaxy of agony. An infinity of heartache.

In case I'm not being clear, these two figures are horrible. They're not even an attempt. It's like Hasbro walked into a grade school art class and said "Hey, how would you kids like to try your hands at making action figures?"

I'll be the rest of my life trying to figure out what Hasbro was thinking when they first got the Marvel license. If I had to guess, because I really don't know, the higher ups probably looked at the 3 3/4" scale as their bread and butter. And why not? That size always worked well for them, ever since the Kenner days. So they poured all their resources into the 1:18 Marvel Universe line and gave the 1:12 Legends line to Mrs. Stifler's 3rd grade art class. Hasbro just did not understand the Legends fan base and the dedication we have to that line and that scale. When they finally woke up, after the success Mattel was having with their DC Universe Classics line and someone threw ice cold water in their faces, we got Legends back. But the damage was almost done.

There are still figures that need apologies. The aforementioned Yellowjacket, Hercules and Annihilus come to mind.

A Wrecker and Wrecking Crew that don't look like they got ahold of some Pym particles would be nice.

And I know this was later in the game and they should have known better, but a more comic accurate Super-Adaptoid would be wonderful.

Okay, I think I'm done bitching now.

A new Nova Prime is being added to my MAKE NOW list. I loved the original, but imagine a new one with all of the pinless and design advancements.

Wish Wave
Yellowjacket
Ronin
Nova Prime
Classic Hercules
Classic Falcon
Doc Sampson
BAF Annihilus

First Retro Revisit Wave
Secret Wars Pinless Captain America with Gamerverse articulation and scale armor
Gamerverse Punisher with black deco
Amazing Friends or Maximum Spider-Man with classic bright red/blue and Ditko/Romita heads
Secret Wars pinless Iron Man with Gold and crimson 80th Anniversary deco... arms on the correct side :)
X-Men 97 Wolverine with a non-cartoony comic headsculpt. Go Tiger Stripe.
Honestly, I don't think Black Widow needs another ideal release... so sub in a comic Yelena

That's 2 sell-out waves, with an appropriate amount of new tooling required.

And then, for the random retro carded releases
Secret Wars Daredevil
Classic Black Cat
Secret Wars Spider-Man (on whatever body of Amazing Friends or Maximum they didn't use for the Retro Revisit version :))
Animated/X-Men 97 Cyclops with a comic head

I know these are A-listers, but some huge sales like this gets people their Dr. Bong, or whatever.

Love these suggested redos! But also

Crimson Dynamo (Mark V) and Titanium Man (3) from the old Iron Man movie tie-in wave need to be redone. Along with Initiative War Machine. All were great figures at the time, but they were small even when they came out. And they are all supposed to be big armored guys.

Yep - both of those scaled up with better articulation would be great, well selling figures :)

random question. is it possible to pull apart the new/old movie Lizard at the torso? I have a small custom idea and picked up the figure when it was $25 on Amazon. Haven’t opened it yet to try.

Thanks for confirming the 3-pack head fits - I've got a spare and while I'm not 100% sure I want to swap the heads, I'm leaning that way since I like closer to neutral expressions when I have the option.

Saw the sculptor quoted from Twitter that the mouth intent (hehe) on this one is specifically to use a toothpick to custom your cigar for the look.

If that helps.

I honestly considered this set just for the heads for the other Frank, but in hand.

Not even game nostalgia, something about this blue is really satisfying, like Gamer Venom. Takes me back to some of those older books (Dixon?) and part of me just likes that he would wear this color like Batman to play a little bit nicer for the public but still be horrifying for those who are on the wrong end.

Spent way too long posing him torturing people with various weapons while listening to the Tom Jane theme and quoting the Punisher declaration of War to myself over and over in my Tom Jane impression.

Also just watched all three Equalizer movies back to back so I'm in that mood.

Now someone adapt Man on Fire but with Frank.

Edit: I haven't seen the swap discussed anywhere, but just putting the Frank head on Fury opens up some options.

And my long-awaited swap. Yes, he emerges beautifully with origin Daredevil. Something about Frank in sweats with the bat just hits so beautifully.
