Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

Put in my preorder for the Mythic Legions dragon. Also ordered the fire add-on package. Still debating the wings, but there was no advantage to ordering them at the same time. In fact, I wasn't allowed payment plans on my card with it all together. Still have a few days to ponder the wings. I like the Ashen Zombie, but the wings will almost never be used by me. FOMO regarding not ordering them is what's keeping them an option in my mind.

I have decided to not get the dragon. I've been on the fence the past month, but seeing the Switch 2 stuff today, I'll use the money I would've spent on the dragon on it instead. I anticipate some cool pics coming from this though.

I was speculating about the last stretch goal the other day. Do we think it could be Beyithirr in human form?

I'm wildly on the fence about this dragon. Part of me thinks it's a once in a lifetime buy. Part of me thinks I'll never have the space to truly enjoy it. Though weirdly seeing it compared to the Classified Dragonfly I'm LESS intimidated by the size of it.

I don't know how you would rig it, but having it hanging from the ceiling would be so cool.

It won't be once in a lifetime given that the Four Horsemen have already confirmed there will be more big dragons using some of the parts from this one.

Where did you see it compared to a GI Joe Dragonfly helicopter?

Wonder how fast they'd do a second dragon. I definitely only have room AT MOST for one so I've been hemming and hawing with "maybe I wait for red or black or blue." They posted a pick with him next to the Dragonfly (and the HISS tank) on their Instagram here.

BEYTHIRR’S FURY - FULL REVEAL!

Our final Beyithirr campaign stretch goal is ready for his full reveal. These are the soldiers known as BEYITHIRR’S FURY!

The Beyithirr’s Fury figure will unlock if the Beyithirr dragon preorders reach 4000 units before the end of the sale this Sunday (4/6/25) at 11pm EST! This figure was made to compliment both the Beythirr dragon and the Sir Benegarr figure that is already fully unlocked and included with this set! You can see a number of images in this post of the Fury next to Sir Benegarr!

Beyithirr’s Fury comes with a helmet with 2 different sets of attachments, an extra “chainmail” head with 3 swappable battle masks, a sword and scabbard, spear, and a large shield with 2 boss options - including the golden sigil of Beythirr himself! Here is the bio for this new figure:

Elite soldiers sworn to the mighty Pillar of the West, the unit known as Beyithirr’s Fury are the shock troops of his Order. Fighting under the command of Sir Benegarr, the Furies wear silver battle masks under their helmets. These masks bear the likenesses of heroes who have fallen in the course of their military service. By donning the “Faces of the Remembered”, the Furies believe that, even in death, soldiers are able to continue to serve in the Order of Beyithirr.

Remember - this figure will ONLY be included with Beyithirr if we can get to 4000 units sold before the end of this weekend! As of this morning, we are at 2846 units sold, so we definitely need to have a big final few days to make this happen! If Beyithirr’s Fury does unlock, he will be added to all Beyithirr dragon packages at no additional cost!

Preorder your Beyithirr dragon NOW and help us unlock Beyithirr’s Fury! Preorders are open exclusively at StoreHorsemen.com, but only until this Sunday! Get your Mythic Legions dragon locked in before it’s too late!

My first thought was they're adding a Dr. Doom head like the Galactus Haslab ...

I like the gold dragon head on the shield and the head with interchangeable masks but I don't know if this will get many fence-sitters to jump on board. It'll be nice if it makes it to 4,000. It's never a bad thing to get another figure.

As an active fence sitter, it's not enough to push me over but it'll be a nice get if I finally commit to the dragon. Like I'd actually buy that figure full price no hesitation, but it's not a powerful enough incentive to change my mind one way or another.

I think I'd buy every figure included in the set if it were sold separately... except this one.

I don't think they'll reach 4k to unlock the gold dragon knight. Which could be a good thing. They should just offer him on their site down the road. Maybe even make him an in-stock item and time him to go up for sale when the dragon starts shipping. Making a potential army builder as a bonus figure for a super expensive campaign is such an odd choice.

While there will certainly be other dragons, I hope they vary their size. Obviously reuse is part of the line, so there's a chance they just repaint this dragon. If so, they should at least give another dragon a different head sculpt and maybe even a different tail. However, they've released the dragon-ogre guy something like 4 times all with the same head sculpt. I do think there'd be backlash if they just straight up repainted this dragon. And I imagine they'll wait to make another dragon until this one is finished by the factory. Something this large is a learning project, so I think they'd want to iron out any kinks before trying something similar.

I was thinking the same thing about timing and size. I'd put cash money on a bet they do a complete repaint with no parts variation of this dragon (so much sculpting and work for a single figure, and they do love parts reuse) but what would we be looking at, 2030 or so for that one? Unless they really do plan on running concurrent dragon productions while the mold is hot.

My other hesitation with backing this is that they'll do a fantastic wave preorder three weeks from now and I'll have burned over my budget for a single figure we won't see for a few years.

Considering he's an army builder, they should release him separately no matter what happens in the campaign. Maybe with a slight variation.
