    Third Party Figures

Chinese copyright law and really their entire legal system is corrupt to the bone. I say this as someone who has studied and loves Chinese culture. Unless you ALSO copyright or trademark your IP in China, a Chinese company can file the copyright or trademark on your IP and they will technically...

    Cosmic Legions

4H customer service was very quick to say they'll send a replacement head, although from my previous experience with a broken Poxxus bow, it might take a few months to receive it. Still, I'd rather get a free replacement head a few months from now instead of paying $20-$30 to buy one on eBay and...

CREATIVE BEAST STUDIOS Beasts of the Meso/Ceno/Cyberzoic

I've been hankering for a good terror bird from this line for a few years. I'm excited to see some concept art and pre-pro samples!

    Cosmic Legions

Got my Cosmic ladies from the Thraxxon wave yesterday and I'm pretty happy with both of them. The coat on Kurnn is great, other than it hides all of her other fun details and paint. I'll probably leave it off of her in the long run. Uularia provides some nice proportional contrast against the...

    Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I know these 6-7" figures are already on the pricey side and everyone has their own metric for what they consider "too much", but when they released Demistros a couple of years ago I saw plenty of con-exclusive variants with clear green heads and hands pop up on eBay for just $10 above retail. I...

    Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I've heard a lot of complaints about various wizards' belts struggling to stay closed over their robes, but the only robed figure I own is Red Death and I stripped him down to his skivvies so I haven't experienced those issues myself. Thorasis has a full surcoat, but it hasn't given me any...

    Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I love my original Scaphoid, but that new Scaphoid sure is tempting. I've been trying to game out the cost in my head to pick up the parts I really want from him on eBay and I think it might be cheaper just to buy the whole figure and pop and swap to my heart's content.

    Tracking toy tariffs

I worked at Whole Foods after college and Diamond Parking monitored the free-to-park, but time-limited parking garage attached to the store where we had a designated employee parking level. Diamond had a policy of ticketing every single car in the garage on a random day sometime in September...

@TheSameIdiot Unless someone's beat me to it, I will. All those new armor parts on the orc are proving too tempting to pass up.

    Cosmic Legions

The way the Horsemen phrased that announcement made it sounds like the singles hadn't yet arrived at their warehouse so I hope it isn't a multi-week delay between shipping the all-ins and singles. I'm super eager for the two ladies in this wave to ship and I'll probably pick up the Scapeback...

    Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

On top of the Legacies of Mythoss reveal today and the Graveyard wave in October, we can probably assume they'll reveal another big wave at Legions Con, another Figura Obscura for Xmas, and we have yet to see a new Cosmic Legions wave. That's a lot of pre-order windows to pack into the remaining...

    Most Wanted 1/12 scale figures

Good thinking, @Ajax! I'd be sorely tempted by a Shaolin Cowboy if the manufacturer could give him enough articulation. My wife and I used to work the comic convention circuit for our former jewelry business and we've chatted with Geoff Darrow on multiple occasions. We once had the privilege to...

    Operation Monster Force

Sorry I'm late to the party, but... I thought Keanu was actually pretty good in My Own Private Idaho and A Scanner Darkly. When an action movie only calls for a one-note hero, he's usually tolerable. When other genre movies require more depth or subtlety or just an accent, he can be comically...

    Tracking toy tariffs

In theory, if the business you're buying from is based overseas, you should see a price hike in the cost of shipping to cover the tariff. If the business you're buying from is based in the US, but gets their products from overseas, they're more likely to bake the tariff into the cost of the...

    Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I can see the strategy behind these Armory figures and I'll give the Horsemen credit where it's due. I specifically love this line for its modular design. I love daydreaming about new armor and weapon combinations, hunting for parts on eBay or from 3D designers/printers, and hand-painting...

    Most Wanted 1/12 scale figures

80s HK action cinema is so good! Police Story is probably my favorite action movie of all time, but A Better Tomorrow is also really fun. I think City on Fire is great in its own right, but it's all the more interesting when you realize how much of that story Tarantino incorporated into...

    Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I'm pretty sure the wrist peg is the same across all the 1.0 and 2.0 bodies. I put some 1.0 bare orc hands on a couple of my 2.0 goblins and the fit is the same. The new Gobhollow set coming out next year looks like it has the same bare 1.0 hands on 2.0 forearms.

    Most Wanted 1/12 scale figures

A line of replicants from Bladerunner (including Deckard) would sure tempt me. Neca's sad old man Deckard from 2049 just looks like Harrison Ford on an average day. You'd probably need a Figuarts, Figma, or Kaiyodo to handle it in order to get the articulation a Pris figure rightfully deserves.

As much as I love this temporary setback for Trump, I think we all know how this will play out in the Supreme Court. Alito and Thomas will never rule against Trump because they're nakedly partisan activists pushing Federalist Society-orchestrated outcomes. Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Coney Barrett, and...

    Figura Obscura

I'm a fiend for Journey to the West and have read both the Arthur Waley and Anthony Yu translations (Yu's is much better) and would love nothing more than for them to do the remaining three characters, but like you said, I know the Horsemen don't really go in for complete mythologies or full...

It wouldn't be the first time this administration said one thing, then promptly did the opposite, but it looks like he's digging his heels in on this one. I expect this to last at least until we're closer to the midterm elections...
