YHS/TOY ANXIETY Cryptoids?

They made a Squonk! This line rules!

I'd never heard of a Squonk before it being announced in this line. Saddest cryptid ever!

I swear I saw one outside the perimeter of Pymatuning Deer Park.

This was in the early 90s. We were feeding the animals, and made our way around the outside when this weird pig, cow looking thing with strangely human looking features came up to the fence. I will never forget those human like eyes and that weird wide smile. We stood there trying to figure out what we were looking at before my Dad decided to give it some food.

It gacked the shit out of his hand, made some weird, appreciative sounding grunt, and then took off.

I didn't think about it again until seeing this figure and reading up on it, and damn does the description sure match. Like to a tee.

He seems a little small in that pic, though when Craig held it on camera during a Toy Anxiety stream I didn't think it looked small at all. Though fair warning, he did say the final would probably be a little smaller than this prototype, not so much by design, but I guess because they tend to "shrink" during the tooling process (at least, that's what the factory is telling him).

Im already fine with it because I like the design choices they've been doing.

I've more or less moved past where this is the style I want in my toys, but if I was still there I'd be all over these. They do look fun.

Ha, I'm not even really planning to back it as of now, but for some reason I've made myself Updater Guy on this thread. I suppose because I started it.

Ooh. J like the design. Not sure if I'll be able to do the kickstarter, but its tempting for me.

I’m not really a cryptid type of guy, but I want to support them and I’m liking that alien. I’m down for the grey version, and the GITD version, which is a thing that is think is actually happening, and not something I made up.

On the podcast last night, the YHS crew outlined what's available and the price for each figure (starts at the 1:13:00 mark):

Moth Man, Shadow Moth Man - $45
Big Foot, Yeti - $55
Roswell Alien - $35
Reptoid - $50 (tied to a stretch goal)

There's also going to be bundles and more stretch goals. The all-in bundle is $400 (Yeti, Big Foot, both Moth Men, two aliens, three reptoids). Some stuff still subject to change. Prices are pretty locked in, but could still change.
