Tracking toy tariffs

With the other money mentioned at the end it just comes across like a divorced parent bribing you with a trip to Toys R Us and a new video game system because they can't compete with the other parent on an emotional and intellectual connection. And you're not going to get that system.

Certainly in the wake of the elections.

I paid my first tariff duties last week. All my previous order have been handled by the stores, but this one went UPS. $59 shipping for a Hot Toy from HK plus $37.50 in customs (the store said tariff is 20% and they undervalue the item). UPS sent an email with a link to pay and took off about $12.00 for paying early. Speed was about DHL level, I ordered Tuesday night and received Friday morning.

Yikes. If I hadn't already dropped Hot Toy collecting this would surely do it. Price creep was getting awful on them before tariffs hit.
